My money is on Jeffers

for making the 15-man roster to start the season. That's assuming no trades are made between now and then...

But Brown could give Jeffers a run for his money, especially if Shved looks more like a SG than a PG in camp. One possible depth-chart with Jeffers is:
Rubio-Barea-Shved
Martin-Brewer-Jeffers
Williams-Budinger-Shabazz
Love-Cunningham-Johnson
Pek-Turiaf-Dieng
And if Brown makes the team then Shved becomes the 3rd SG in place of Jeffers.
(BTW - I sure hope Williams makes good on his intent to play SF!)

Tim I like Jeffers but why is your money on him making the team? I'd guess Hummel and Brown have a better shot of making the team.

Doogie and others have said the Wolves really like Jeffers ever since summer league. I thought Jeffers looked very good, too. He has logged some NBA minutes, and is probably a more natural SG than any Wolf other than Martin.
Hummel is going to have a tough time making it because of our depth at the forward spots...

Ok I haven't been on Twitter so I have probably missed some info. Jeffers seems to be a guy you would like to have in practice he always seems to be in beast mode. If he was taller or had a legit jumper (it does seem he has improved somewhat over the years though) he would be a real factor in the league. One article I just read on him likened him to Tony Allen and no I don't think Jeffers is going to become Tony Allen, but what I saw in Summer League was a guy that has some interesting basketball abilities and because of some circumstances you could see him becoming a worthwhile deep bench guy as a sort of late bloomer. Like you said we could use a guy that can play SG and maybe more importantly defend SGs and do it well. People seem to rave about his abilities on that end.
Hummel I thought played well, but yeah we have alot of depth at combo forward position. Brown I think he might be a nice player with his skills and physical attributes but in SL he looked like a guy that needs a year of seasoning nothing too special at this point. If we don't keep him this year hopefully he signs with a team overseas and we keep his rights. He could be a useful guy becasue of his size and ability to play the point.

I am not sure we need to carry a 15th man at all. I think Shabazz and Dieng could spend the year in the D-League and if there is someone we need for a vet backup we can sign them as needed.

AJ Price has been added. I loved how a couple weeks ago Doogie said he played well for the Wizards last year. Um he sort of sucks I would be fine with him as a 3rd pg but yeah I wouldn't say he has played well for a couple years. Bleed I doubt any of these guys get a fully guaranteed deal. I also doubt Bazz or Dieng spend much time in the D league

Yeah, AJ Price does nothing for me. The other 3 are more interesting.
Of course, Price would be an upgrade over Wil Conroy, who got some playing time at the beginning of last year...

I loved Jeffers in Summer League this year, but he has never been a reliable shooter at any level...16% on threes in college and always less than 40% on jumpers in college and pros. I like his defense and athleticism, but the way he shot in Vegas was not typical for him. I just don't see him as an NBA player.
I think Hummel can help us the most, and the Budinger news today creates more of a need for Robbie.

With Budinger being out for what I'm estimating to till early next year I think Hummel makes the most sense. He is a great team player, and does most things well on the court.

I'm leaning toward Hummel, Jeffers fits as another defender and backup to Martin.
