Thought I would put out a thread to discuss trades.
Spencer Hawes dealt for Earl Clark & 2 2nds. - Man, I don't love Hawes, and also realize he is an expiring, but I am shocked that this is all they could get for him. I would have thought a better playoff team would put together assets greater than this.

I honestly thought OKC would do Perkins/Sefalosha/the worst of their two firsts from this year for Hawes/Turner. I guess they either didn't like Turner or didn't think they could afford to resign him.

MIL just got better. They should have made that deal on Thanksgiving.

Miller goes to D.C.
I have to say I'm happy we didn't trade for him. I know a lot of you really liked him for this team but we don't need old players who can't shoot, he would be nice to lead a second unit who can score which is not ours.
Moving Barea, Shved, or Dante would make my day. Please for the love of god Flip do not trade our rookies

Anybody like Cunningham for Vesely? I kind of do.

I really hope our win last night didn't put a halt to any kind of moves we were trying to make. Miller would have been a nice addition, now we have to look back to it being Jameer Nelson.

Nelson is making 8.6 mil. Who are we giving up Barea 4.7, Shved 3.1, Shabazz, 1.9?
I doubt the magic want to take on multiple contracts to get rid of Nelson. Whoever offers the magic an expiring, picks, or multiple young players will get him.
I'd rather have Shabazz and Deing, assuming whoever is coach next year will actually play them

Aldrige is saying the Wolves are pursuing Jarret Jack. Barea and Cunningham?

Ugh... He is signed for the next 3 seasons, when he will be 33/34 yrs old. I'd rather save the cap space.

I'm not saying that he is my personal next choice, but we have to go off of rumors and someone posted we were looking at him either yesterday or the day before. I think Zgoda tweeted it.
The fact that right after, you posted that we're going after Jack, makes me happy. He's a guy we should have tried to sign in the off-season to begin with, and I would prefer him as a 6th man to almost anyone in the league, because he can play with Ricky, and is almost the perfect compliment to what Ricky does on the floor. Ricky plays D and can orchestrate an offense while Jack (while a good passer as well) is a scorer and a very, very solid shooter.

Just because he'll be that age doesn't mean he'll decline, he had his best seasons the last two years, this year is a slight decline, but he's still shooting 37% from 3, which is pretty darn good. He doesn't have to be the NO Jack that scored 15 a game, but if we can get him playing somewhat like he did for GS, at about 20-24 minutes a game, we'll be a much better team simply cause he'll command more respect than JJ and space the floor. Just a personal opinion.
