He will sign a max and stay. He likes the Twin Cities, and anywhere else is a pay cut. That is not to say he will not agitate to play on a good team. All the trade crap is crap, and Khans said it -- There are no good alternatives for Kevin to opt out, unless he wants to play on a crappy team in LA for less money than he could make here with Ricky and Pek.
Flip is in the grand tradition of TWolves executives (a wasted draft, hell, we could have had the Greek freak playing off Ricky) so it remains to be seen if KLove will repeat the KG experience in Minnesota - a great player management could not build a team around.

The Lakers have shown the ability to rebuild in short order time after time after time.
The Wolves have shown the ability to screw up a good thing time after time after time.
If I'm going to be on a bad or rebuilding team I would much rather do it near the SoCal beaches. California has become a shit hole for the typical person, but for someone with money its still a paradise.

Yeah because basketball players have a ton of time to enjoy paradise during the season lol... Love can do SOCal during the offseason....
And when was the last time LAL had to rebuild? Because i really can't remember., As you say they did it time after time after time? Without Kobe they well suck for a long time, Who could they really trade for? or what super star can the get as a freeagent? I just don't see why love would want to go there... Howard wanted out of the shit hole for a reason..

I'm not worried about the Lakers as much, Kobe's contract really F*cked them. His contract alone eats half the cap thereabout

Isn't that sort of the point? They don't really need to rebuild. The NBA is designed to give certain destinations an inherent advantage.
Los Angeles has been atop that list for almost the entirety of the past 50+ years.
