They make a deal involving a trade exception for Rajon Rondo. We make a deal involving a trade exception for a D League chucker

Other then making Brewer happy and dumping his salary for next year I don't know what the contract did for us. The big plus will be Shabazz starting, but that should have happened either way.

This post actually makes me mad, why on earth would the wolves want rondo. I like brewer but he would not be on the team when the wolves are competing for a playoff spot, so why not get a few picks and get a young guy who does 1 thing really well and probably the wolves number 1 weakens

I don't think he means we want Rondo, but this trade was an asset dump. Certainly not to the scale of the Al Jefferson trade.

This is a great move by the Wolves, a very nice salary dump. Brewer's stats were getting worse and timing here was good. Bazz is playing better and needs more minutes, and I think it would be good opportunity for Flip to give some minutes to GRIII. Maybe he can play defense, good lord, I thought the great defensive mind Sam Mitchell was supposed to help out here?

When did Mitchell become a great defensive mind?
It is pretty pathetic when you give up 114 pts to a sorry ass Boston squad that is short handed no less. I expected our offense to be a work in progress, but never expected our D to be this bad. I knew Flip wasn't a defensive oriented coach, but this is kind of ridiculous. We let a 7 foot white guy drive the paint repeatedly!

I guess I meant they can make a significant deal that makes them better and we can do a salary dump. I don't want Rondo. I guess the only way we could make a significant deal is to give up some of the young players just aquired and it's too early for that. We won't get anything for Chase. So I guess I'll settle in for the rebuild

I'm confused Papa... did you expect anything other than a massive rebuild this season?
If so, I think you had too lofty of expectations. The writing was on the wall this season BEFORE the injuries. It was a near-complete teardown/rebuild the moment Kevin Love was traded.
Any talk of competing on the outskirts of the playoffs was hollow rhetoric to appease those reticent about the umpteenth rebuild in Wolves history. The West is loaded. Absolutely loaded. And there are 10 - 12 (or more) teams that are better than the Wolves.
In that scenario, dumping salary and getting hosed in trades of mid-tier guys is pretty commonplace in the NBA.
