And he's not even sure if that is possible.

At least 19 more games. Yuck.

Ugh. That's what many were assuming....probably sometime in January is most likely.

Best case scenario, Rubio is out until mid-January and comes back HEALTHY. All the while, we get to see what we have with our young group and also protect our draft pick next year (not too many victories).

It's not like we should have been expecting to make the playoffs, and this way we get to see what our core group looks like together for the second half of the season. Sort of a preview of next season.

Worst case scenario, we rush Rubio back too soon and the ankle is never right this year and we do not get to see the rotation we want this year.

Knowing Rubio and how hard he works, I think Christmas is reasonable. If he knew there was no chance of coming back by then, I doubt he would have said it publicly even though he was coy about it. That is still at least 6 weeks from his injury and for a sprain, even though it was severe, I still think its possible. Zogoda said he thinks around Christmas as well FWIW.

I am not sure this is a injury hardwork can help with. It is all about rest.

Derrick Rose thinks Christmas is too early, better wait until you're absolutely sure it's 100% and then take it from there.
