Was at the State Fair and at the introductory presser with the new guys. Nothing mind blowing, but since noone else mentioned being there I figured I'd share my thoughts:

-No surprise, Wiggins was the fan favorite
-Everyone got love though, no pun intended
-Thaddeus Young has a really magnetic personality, he did selfie picks for his own ...instagram? with the crowd (I might be in one of them?? :)
-All the guys stayed as long as they could to sign autographs (Wiggins was pulled the soonest). Young at one point said he wants to sign an autograph for everyone that was wanting one. Seems like a good dude.
-These guys want to make the playoffs, and I think they were definitely liking the fan atmosphere at the fair.
-Flip, Milt Newton, and Glen Taylor were all in attendance.
-There was a pretty English girl that was near me that while Wiggins was signing autographs, she didn't have anything for him to autograph, so she was going to have him autograph a random picture of something she got from the fair. She had no idea who he was except that he had a big fan base there. When they pulled Wiggins away and she didn't get her autograph, they said something like "ok, time to go Andrew" and she said while walking away, "oh, now I know his name, it's Andrew!". Pretty meaningless, but funny.

From one of the presser, Flip made it seem that Young is a very community oriented guy---does a lot of work. So that seems cool that he's willing to give back.

About the girl story, I have one somewhat similar only with the Vikings. It was a preseason game in 2010---I decided to put my Randy Moss jersey out. This was again BEFORE he ended signing here. Taking the light rail from Sneaky Petes to the dome---some girl looked at my jersey and said, who's that guy? Not wanting to answer, I lied said I got it at a garage sale but I believe it was some guy name Randy. I could feel the tension that her boyfriend was showing so I kept my mouth shut---but all she kept saying was how she's going to follow the Vikings and know all about them---and I was like sure honey...LOL. I bet, when Randy finally signed later that season, that she had a blimp of a moment to herself and said that my jersey was of that guy----Randy Moss.

Again, pretty meaningless but kinda funny to me because I can still see here boyfriends face...LOL.

Good tidbits Hockey and pretty funny about the girl, but I must say I would have been annoyed seeing someone clueless to the team getting an awesome autograph over someone who really follows the team.
