I know people are wanting Young from Philly, buttt if the Nets are really looking to dump some payroll, you know Flip would kill to get KG on this team for a swan song.

Recap:

Minnesota sends out: Love, Lexi, JJ

Minnesota recieves: KG, Wiggins, Bennett, Grizz 1st rounder

Cavs send out: Wiggins,Bennett,Haywood, Griz 1st rounder, Heat 1st rounder

Cavs recieve: Love

Nets send out: KG

Nets recieve: JJ, Lexi, Haywood, Heat 1st rounder

Nets could buy out JJ, keep Lexi with AK and hope that sparks him again, and get a 1st rounder.

Flip not only could get Wiggins, but could sell some tickets by bringing back KG for a final year, Offer him a job in the FO next year.

Rubio/Sessions (hopefully)/ Lavine

Martin/Wiggins/Bud

Brew/Wiggins/Bud/Luc

KG/Bennett

Pek/Dieng

KG's 12 million comes off the books, probably goes to Rubio, but still should have enough to get a solid PF in FA next year

I wouldn't give up a 1st rounder to get KG at this point in his career. I'd rather keep the Heat 1st.

You'd probably have to give up that same 1st rounder for Young

Kg has a no trade clause and trade kicker. Not sure why he would come back and why we would want him back. Its best for us to remember kg as the superstar he was here rather than the washup old guy who cant play anymore.

Il rather see rubio be the defacto leader of the team next season than kg shadowing the team. Kg is the best player in teams history. But its time to move on guys.

You need a 1st rounder from Cleveland (via Miami or Memphis) to get Thad Young, so instead giving it up for KG isn't that big of a deal. If you trade for Young, you should be focused on re-signing him next offseason (which isn't a bad idea). However, if you would rather have the cap space next year and are going to be bad for a year anyway, that KG idea really intrigues me (more so as a Hollywood-scripted ending rather than an actual basketball move).

Regardless of your stance on the guy, he gave his heart and soul to the franchise and handled his departure far classier than our current superstar.

I wouldn't trade a 1st for KG at this point in his career, but I wouldn't be opposed to getting him back for another year.

Side note: coolbreaze won't be a big fan of this idea :)

I think the Nets value KG, but this is actually a well thought out trade. I don't think it will happen, but it could actually work for all teams. I get the feeling that if Flip could bring back KG he would. I don't know if KG would want to come here, but I also don't know if he is really that tied to the Nets. I think its possible the Nets might do this trade even without the 1st rounder coming their way since Haywood is a solid backup C.

In terms of basketball moves, getting KG for a 1st is a bad idea. Regardless though (and this is a bit off topic), but I really like the idea of getting him back here for a management/ownership role once he retires. Give him the same sort of role that a guy like Alonzo Mourning has, which would be a HUGE move for us in terms of recruiting future FA's.

KG is not well liked around the league Zag. Teammates like him but nobody else does.
