1. Knicks are about to hire Steve Kerr. Phil Jackson, as a former head coach, understands the importance of getting his new head coach on board as soon as possible and well before the draft. Meanwhile Flip bides his time.
2. Pacers will fire Vogel and hire Stan VanGundy shortly after Indiana is eliminated by Atlanta. Meanwhile Flip bides his time.
3. Thunder will fire Scott Brooks and replace him with Hollins or George Karl soon after Memphis knocks them out of the first round. Meanwhile, Flip continues to glide along as he implements his search process
4. After all the above, Flip announces that he is stepping down as President of Basketball Operations to take over as the Wolves head coach after having made all the critical offseason moves including draft selections, free agency signings and trades. Flip's lackey from Washington will take over Flip's role in the front office. Meanwhile, Glen Taylor will continue on as our financially generous but otherwise clueless owner not realizing how Flip has played him. And Wolves fans will continue to watch this franchise wallow in mediocrity before the team descends again to the bottom of the lottery as Love and Ricky sign elsewhere.
That's what I see in my crystal ball. Hope others see something more promising.
