Random jealous rant here.....Who the hell is the Spurs shooting coach!?! Check this out:

Kawhi Leonard - A career 25% shooter in his two years at San Diego State. Never once was there any indication that he would become a legitimate 3-point threat in the NBA. So far as a Spur? Career 38% 3-point shooter in three seasons from a longer distance against better competition. And he didn't even ramp up to this point. He just joined the Spurs, and voila!, became a great 3-point shooter as a rookie.

Patty Mills - 33% shooter in two years of college. Shot 35% in his one full season with the Blazers. He then joined the Spurs. He hasn't shot less than 40% ever since!

Marco Belinelli - OK, so he's always been a good shooter. But naturally, as a newly minted Spur this season, he's having a career year, shooting 44% from beyond the arc!

Danny Green - Career 37% shooter in 4 years of college. Shot 27% as a rookie with Cleveland. Then joined the Spurs. He's never shot less than 40% since.

OK, back to the Kentucky-Uconn game!

I give a ton of credit to the spurs organization as a whole for the success of both the team and the individual players. They identify good players and then place them in positions where they can succeed. Compare that to the wolves where players are often either playing out of position or not in a role that best suits their strengths while minimizing weaknesses.
