We lost this one early. Gibson had no sink on his fastball. Not sure if it's because of the dome in Tampa Bay or because he was having a bad outing. Maybe both. Hopefully he bounces back. That will show me a bunch about this guy.
Dozier and Colabello both cranked out yackers. Dozier's going to finish this year top-five HRs for 2B. Nice power from that position. Colabello's leading the AL in RBIs. How funny considering he could be in Korea right now instead of the MLB. Love the turn his career has taken. He's been the most important bat in this lineup thus far and I hope it continues.
Price shut down our bats tonight. He's an ace, it happens. 6 total hits, 12 Ks. Price went the distance for the CG.
Pelfrey on the bump tomorrow night... Yay, can't wait to see what happens... :snore:
PS: Deduno needs to be in the rotation.

I didn't watch the game, but I texted my son this afternoon that Gibson was going to get lit up tonight. Why? Because he went out and played 18 holes of golf on a tough course yesterday...that's right, golf on the day before his start. Pitchers talk about how important their routine is on their off days, and I don't think golf is what they are talking about. Chiropractors will tell you how tough golf is on body alignment, and there is so little margin for error in pitching, I'm not at all surprised that Gibby got shelled tonight.
But in the Twins country club with player's coach Gardy in charge, it's okay for tomorrow's starting pitcher to play 18 today. That's how you lose close to 100 games in successive years.
Somehow I don't think David Price went golfing yesterday.

The twins suck again///// Not hard to see when they did NOTHING this offseason to bring bats in to help this team... All they did was bring in a bunch of GARDY type player... Pichers that are GROUND ball pitchers lol.. And hitters that slap the ball/// WTF is wrong with a STRIKE out pitcher or a HOMERUN hitter?? .... The twins are a joke and tell they put together a real team thats not filled with Aball players,I well not spend a dime to watch them play....

Hopefully a trainer or someone mentions this to Gibby and he learns from it. What a dumb thing to do before a start. Doesn't surprise me that Gardy allowed it, though. Soft ass skipper. Once all our glorified prospects get ready, I really do believe we'll need a new manager. Gardy's just a placeholder right now.

Twins have the second best offense in the AL... Our bats have been surprisingly excellent. It's that our rotation is still a work in progress... except the only progress has come from Gibson and he got blown up tonight.

I really like this Gibson kid, so I was disappointed that he golfed the day before a start. But I blame Gardy and Rick Anderson for not teaching him better. I listened to his post-game interviews, and the kid seems to have his head screwed on straight. He's gonna be a good one, I think.

Brandon Webb without the injury issues (hopefully).
