Depressing

Yesterday on WCCO Zgoda, today Barreiro, and Mike Morris on 105.1, and everyone national opines that keeping Love is a lost cause, trade him. Followed by George Karl won't come here because Love won't be here.

I have read one article where Flip and Taylor express "quiet optimism" that Love will stay. I was cautiously optimistic, now I'm not sure.

Back to Barrero, AP Sports Guy said today that last year Love was persona non grata, he was hurt, left town, did nothing to support the team, etc. Made Love sound like a 6'10" Joe Mauer, talented but NOT a respected team leader.

I am starting to think he will get moved

Well no one hates Minnesota sports than Barriero. That guy has made his living hating any talent on Minnesota franchises.

I am not saying those guys might not be right, but they aren't a reason to confirm anything. Also I would be kinda shocked if Karl (I assume he wants back in to coaching) wasn't really interested in this team if the Wolves do end up expressing interest.

I think Flip and Love have talked. Flip has asked him his intentions. Asked him what has to happen for him to stay. I am sure picking a coach is important part of it and it must lead to winning. I think Love would bond with Hoiberg so he would be my first call. I think the guy is an expert at managing people and has a good basketball mind.

I am sure Flip told Love that he will have input on the coach, but he will tell the media he has no input so there is no pressure on him or backlash on him. It will be an interesting ride. I hope we put a winner on the court. I don't really care if Love is part of it or not.
