These guys seems to be simular players.

KA is 16 months older
JP is a better scorer
KA is better at setting up teamates
KA and JP are about equal as rebounders
KA is a little longer
JP is a little stonger
No idea who is a better defender.

Thoughts?

Check him out in the tournament, Lloyd...truly a unique player.

I don't know, bleed...I see them as very different players. Parker is clearly a forward, and even though ESPN lists Anderson as a G/F, he is really the point guard on this year's Bruin's team. Parker is more athletic and stronger, Anderson is a much better distributor. Anderson is shooting well this year, but I suspect Parker is a far better shooter.

Anderson is putting up monster stats this year, but I have a difficult time projecting him into the NBA. He's not quick enough to defend guards, or even many SFs, and not strong enough to be effective inside. He wasn't a very good shooter as a freshman, so I think his 3-point shooting this year might be a mirage...much like Oladipo who fooled scouts with his improvement in 3-point shooting his final year in college, but has seen his percentage drop 20 percentage points in the pros.

All that said, Anderson is a unique, dominant college player, and well worth watching in the tournament.

The almost 9 rebounds a game makes me think he can play SF/PF. I think he has excellent 6th man written all over him. Certainly proving he is a jack of all trades with near elite handle and rebounding.

I think others may come to the same conclusion, bleed, and because of his versatility he may end up in the top ten picks. I'm skeptical about how his rebounding will translate to the NBA though. Right now he is getting boards because he is just so much longer than the guards he is matched up with. But he is not very strong or athletic, so he may struggle with rebounding in the pros. Hard to say...he's unique.

If his shooting is for real the guy could backup 4 positions and cause matchup issue at each.

I've always believed that your position is determined by who you can guard. Anderson's a SF and that's likely it. Doesn't have the foot speed to stay in front of SGs, doesn't have the strength to body up most PFs.

I think it depends on the player. I think he can play 4 positions on offense and guard maybe 2 on defense. I am not worried about his strength. That is the easiest thing to add. He is long enough to be a PF. He is longer then Love.
