the next 8 games or so are all against teams with a losing record

not to mention we have 2 games each left against the Suns and Grizzlies

Suns have a brutal 4 game stretch about to hit now

we will see what happens

Would be quite amazing as a Wolves' fan to hit a win streak and push into the playoffs. Here's to winning at least 6-7 of these games!

I have to admit I waved the white flag of surrender on the playoffs over a week ago, but the Wolves' recent good play brings back at least a remote chance. They really impressed me on this recent road trip, and the next 8 games are ridiculously soft...even Toronto is shaky recently. This is their last chance to prove they are really contenders this year.

Tim...time to resurrect the KOM?

I figured they needed to go 8-2 out of the all-star break or play for next year. It looks like we might just do it.

More importantly, Phoenix/Memphis over the next 10 games.

PHO:
vs NO
vs ATL
vs LAC
vs OKC
@ GS
@ LAC
vs CLE
@ BOS
@ TOR
@ BRK

MEM:
@ OKC
vs CLE
@ WAS
@ BRK
@ CHI
vs CHA
vs POR
@ NO
@ TOR
@ PHI

MIN: Pek and Martin are back
@ SAC
@ DEN (struggled mightily last night; 8 points through mid-2nd quarter)
vs NYK
vs DET
vs TOR
vs MIL
@ CHA
vs SAC
@ DAL
@ HOU
________
vs PHO (11th game)

See PHO and MEM going 5-5. MIN needs to go at least 7-3. Then beat PHO and we're still two games back of the eight seed, but at least still in the hunt. We need PHO/MEM to lose against a Charlotte or a Brooklyn. Gotta get some help and then we have to take care of business.

Kind of crazy that there is still some twinkle of hope. But I still say we were done when we came out of that earlier 13-game soft stretch going only 7-6. That was the death knell.

Regardless, I think it's important for this team to end the season as strong as possible so that we go into the offseason with some momentum and confidence.

If the Wolves go 7-1 or 6-2 over the next eight, doesn't that rectify a 7-6 record in that previous stretch? I get that it's a big if, but it's still in play. I think we'd all take a 14-7 or 13-8 record over a span of 21 games, and I get that by combining those 13 games you referred to plus the next eight.

Big wins over Indiana and Phoenix have revived the feel about this team once again. They've wasted plenty of opportunities this year, but who's to say they don't finally grab what is hypothetically theirs?
