We better. In my opinion Anderson has had a pretty shitty series so far so may as well roll the dice. We didnt have much of a shot even with Slomo.

8.5 ppg
4.5 reb
4.0 ast
50% fg
EASILY the team's 5th best player, and sometimes better than that. He'll be missed quite a bit.
And it's not even about him as much about who's playing instead. T. Prince is not nearly as effective, unless he gets hot every few games. Nowell is 5 - 25 fg. McLaughlin is unplayable. NAW is hit or miss. We're going to see more Rivers.
Minott has 102 total minutes (mostly garbage time) in the NBA.

Anderson hasn’t been as good lately but looking at his stats for the playoffs they are still pretty good for a key bench guy. Meanwhile who is gonna come in and put up anything near what Anderson has even playing below what we have come to expect from him?
I could see why Finch could play more of McLaughlin because no Anderson means one less PG and playmaker on the floor. Based on what McLaughlin has gone the past few games that’s a pretty steep loss. Maybe Finch starts Prince and uses NAW more as a PG. Losing Anderson really hurts the Wolves size. Knight might be the guy that gets some minutes. He hasn’t been any worse in the few minutes he had played recently than Nowell or McLaughlin…but the bar isn’t very high!

Huh. So Anderson basically called Rudy a pussy for not playing hard enough when Rudy had a bad back. But Anderson can't play with a black eye? Strap on a eye patch and get the hell out there Kyle! We are just running out of horses and have a short bench.
Disclaimer: I have no idea how bad his eye is. But I do know a little about bad backs and cannot imagine how painful it would be to try and play basketball with one.

I might not have all the facts. But as far as I've been able to find, he's sitting out because of an eye injury. I didn't see the injury. This is what I've found explaining it:
"Anderson suffered what the team called a left eye/facial contusion after teammate Anthony Edwards inadvertently hit Anderson in the face late in the third quarter of Game 4"
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/362 ... -g5-denver
I'm sure it's bad. But I was shocked he wasn't suiting up. We literally have 9 healthy guys now. Nowell still has knee issues. And Minott/Moore are unplayable rookies (thus far). It's frustrating as hell. We are a bad foul night away from Nathan Knight playing important minutes in an elimination game. I just thought Anderson could give us something - even if he only has one eye. But as I've written previously - I don't know the full extent of his injury. It's going to be an interesting night....

Would be hard to play with only one eye though.
Peripheral vision is a must... especially for a guy like Anderson.
