Pick 3 for Draft Day

Alright - this thread isn't for discussion. Rather, I'm inviting people to pick three prospects they want. For consistency, here are the rules:

1.) Use ESPN "Best Available" as our prospect ranking database. Here is the link: https://www.espn.com/nba/draft/bestavailable

2.) From the Best Available list - Pick ONE player from the following ranges: 30-39; 40-49; 50-59.

3.) List your players in similar format as I do for my three below (Name and ESPN projected pick #)

If one of your picks hits - 60WinTim will bitcoin you $100.

Carlos Danger Three:

Tristan Vukcevic #35
Amari Bailey #43
Jaylen Clark #53

I think it will make the draft more fun if people peek at some of these draft profiles. There's some interesting players that should be available to us. This way we'll be at least familiar with some of the guys in the 30-60 projected range.

I just don't have enough info (and the ESPN notes aren't the greatest) to have any sort of educated opinion.

As I've mentioned before, it seems like it would be impossible to find the most coveted type of prospect - a defensive wing that can shoot - as those guys will all get gobbled up in the 1st round and early 2nd in my opinion.

But it does seem like unsexy or undersized point guards can often be found in this range OR Centers since they have become such a commodity since the pace and space style of play took over the NBA. The fact Oscar Tshiebwe is ranked #60 goes to show how de-valued Centers are these days. The guy is a generational rebounder, but no one really cares about that (see Andre Drummond as an older version of how the NBA values elite rebounders).

I'm sure whoever they pick will give us some cause for excitement, as we always tend to put the rose-colored glasses on in the immediate aftermath of the draft.

I'm on board with predicting we pick a Naz-replacing big. I'll take Jackson-Davis in the 30s. Gueye in the 40s, and Sanogo in the 50s.

I accept that additional picks disqualify me from Tim's generous $500 prize, but I will add a few more Naz replacements I like:

Tshiebwe (60), Tubelis (61), Robbins (73)

And I don't see him listed here, but WildWolf's guy Jake Stephens would be a good pick too. 7-10 wingspan and 45% on threes his past two seasons!

Marcus Sasser #37
Amari Bailey #43
Jazian Gortman #75

I actually like Bailey more than Sasser, but I like both. I’m out on a limb with Gortman at #53. I don’t know why he’s so low on nearly every board I’ve seen. If I were in TC’s shoes, I’d probably trade #53 for a future 2nd round pick and sign Gortman as an undrafted free agent.

Gortman’ s talent and stats tell me he’s a high second round pick or better. Maybe Gortman has some sort of major character issue we don’t know about. If I was aware of that sort of red flag, then I’d pivot to Wong at 53.

But Anthony, I did comply with the rules. I had one player in each of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I just added a few more because I am an overachiever  .

Since you and I are the only two who have followed the rules, it looks like we're the only two eligible (so far) for Tim's very generous $1000 bitcoin prize...go Sanogo!

I don't think Amari Bailey will fall, so I'll ad D'moi Hodge as another sleeper... And Isaiah Wong, too! There are so many intriguing prospects. Undrafted FAs hunting for 2-way contracts will be interesting as well!
