Wolves Trade Talk

Almost all our focus recently has been on free agency. That’s appropriate since we’re heading into the NBA’s free agency period. It also appears that the Wolves front office is heavily engaged in pursuing a significant free agent. But we’re still in the heart of NBA trade season so I thought I’d start a thread devoted entirely to Wolves trade discussions.
We’ve already had extensive discussions about KAT and Gobert trade possibilities. It’s fair game to continue those discussions here. But I also wanted to invite discussion on other Wolves trade possibilities that don’t involve KAT or Rudy. With Prince waived, my sense is that it’s highly unlikely we’ll see a trade that doesn’t involve KAT or Rudy. Meanwhile, it’s unlikely we’ll see KAT or Rudy traded this summer either. But the Wolves do have some intriguing young talent in Moore, Minott and Miller. JMac and Knight are proven young NBA players on very team-friendly contracts. And I suppose it’s not out of the question that the Wolves trade Kyle Anderson even though that seem unlikely.
One report said the Wolves are open to a Jaylen Nowell sign-and-trade. I don’t see Nowell have it a high enough value to generate any sign-and-trade interest among other teams. Another report indicated that the Wizards price tag on Monte Morris is two future second round picks. The Wolves have sparse draft capital, but they have enough 2nd round picks to meet that price. The problem, however, is that without Prince they no longer have a salary match player and apparently the Wizards already rejected a Prince package of some kind.
So we’ll see. I don’t see any deals on the horizon.
