Suns receive - Okafor and 2014 1st round pick (idk if it's protected)

Wiz receive - Gortat, Malcolm Lee, Shannon Brown, and Kendall Marshall

Damn, the Wiz got a nice return. Who is going to be worse the Suns or the 76ers?

Now that I think about it, I think the Suns got a steal with this trade. The Wizards have the potential to make the playoffs this year, but if Wall gets injured or doesn't figure out his shot and if Beal has a down year this pick could end up being right around 13-15. That's an awful nice pick for a fairly good big man in the last year of his deal. Also, the Wiz basically just got Shannon Brown and Gortat, the other two will probably be cut. So yeah, my first reaction that the Wiz got a decent return was way off

Pick is to be protected through 12. Suns have 4 first round picks next year, including ours

I think it's a good deal for Washington. Think Gortat is a good big man in this league and one that they can and likely will re-sign. I also think the Wizards are playoff bound with this move. Good for them.
