Finally back in town and able to watch this early game live. Atlanta is 1-1 as well. But the fun is just seeing how the Triple-M guys play. Hopefully they all play...

I think we’re all intrigued by what we see from our Triple-Ms. But I’m equally intrigued by what we see from Brandon Williams. I believe he has the 5th highest rating in Summer League so far based on a rating assessment I saw on hoopshype. I went back and watched video of his rookie season play in the NBA for Portland. His quickness, handle and dribble-drive skills are elite even by NBA standards. His only negative in his 20 game NBA stint with Portland was his shooting efficiency. But his two seasons in the G-League and play so far in Summer League suggest that he’s fixed his shooting. He averaged 46% from the field and 36% from behind the arc in both of his two G-League seasons. His shooting struggles in 20 games with Portland should be viewed with perspective of knowing that he was a rookie at the time with only one year of college experience.
They are trying to make him into a capable wing and it just isn't working. Can't stay square guarding on the perimeter and hasn't made a shot outside of dunks and layups on offense. He's an energy bench big until he proves otherwise. Troy Brown Jr.'s job is safe for now.
Remember he hates breakfast food though so this game does not count. HahaQ-is-here wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 3:14 pmThey are trying to make him into a capable wing and it just isn't working.
