Iowa Wolves

I'm going to be super excited to follow the Iowa Wolves. Depending on who plays for Iowa, we could roster a G League championship team. I don't know if Garza will play there at all, but he would dominate offensively. However, Nix was an absolute beast in G League for the Rio Grande Vipers and he helped lead the Vipers to a championship. In the championship best of 3 series in which Rio Grande won two games to none, he dominated with 31-12-11 triple double and a 20-11-8 double double. If Vit, Keels and Martin all agree to play for Iowa, we will be loaded. Nix, Lenny, Minott, Moore, Vit, Martin, Keels and Carton would be a dominant roster. Maybe if the Wolves are in the G League playoffs and Garza is still on a two way, he might even play too.

I've definitely watched my fair share of G-League games, most often when I become disillusioned with the big league squad. Decamping to Iowa allows one to see glimmers of hope, although those dreams can get shattered as well (e.g. Nowell).

A few of these guys may find it tiresome to play in the G-League yet again, but if they stay patient for a year and really work on their game, opportunities are going to open up next season, as there is no way we can keep all the top 10 guys on the current roster together.

Wolves signed (then later waived) Brian Bowen and Javonte Cooke today. Looks like both are going to be headed back to Iowa.

Oh good ol Brian Bowen is back! It feels like he has been around for quite a while and yet he turned 25 a few weeks ago. I think he is a nice player at a lower level does little of everything.

Here is the full Iowa Wolves roster. I think there are fewer returning players than in the past especially since I doubt Garza is gonna be playing more than a couple games down there.

I've never watched a G League game, but I really would like to see this group play. I'm just so intrigued by Leonard Miller and want to watch him develop. I agree that Garza probably won't play much if at all for Iowa. The same might also apply to Nix with the JMAC injury. However, if Nix plays a lot, I think Iowa is going to be real good as last time Nix played in the G League he helped Rio Grande win a title. Even without Garza or Nix, or Minott who surprisingly isn't on the roster, there is plenty of talent to watch. Moore, Vit, Keels and Martin are all NBA experienced players and Jaylen Clark appears to be an NBA talent.

Are these games streamed anywhere? I have League Pass and am hoping League Pass might get me access to games or, if not, ESPN. November 10 is this Friday, so if anyone knows how we can watch the game, please share.

Q or Kek, if you are able to post a link when one is available it would be greatly appreciated or confirm that a link will appear on game day at https://gleague.nba.com/game/wcb-vs-iwa ... w=pre-game. It sounds like the game might be the same time as the Wolves vs Spurs game and other NBA action, so I'll probably try to watch a replay over the weekend if one is available.

Edit: I was scouring the boxscore and I saw Derrick Favors name. Yes, Favors is playing in the G League.
