Wolves vs. Thunder GDT

This is a big, big game featuring #1 and #2 in the West. It's no coincidence that both teams have been healthy by NBA standards. We know that the West is loaded and good injury luck can make a huge difference. Last year's Sacramento squad is Exhibit A, as they ended the regular season with 48 wins and the 3rd seed in the West with very few games lost to injury by their starters....only to then lose to Golden State in the first round.
The Wolves' Big Three + Mike Conley have yet to miss a game. SGA has played in all but one game and three of their other starters have played in all 16.
Bottom line....I'm not convinced these are truly the two best teams on paper in the West, but they are damn good teams nonetheless and it will be fun to see a rematch from the play-in game.

They are definitely a scary team...so many 3-point shooters, and Holmgren to protect the rim. Only Giddey doesn't shoot the three well, and Isaiah Joe is starting to get his key minutes at SG and is making 3 3-pointers a game at almost 50%.
Surprisingly, the Wolves still have a chance to make the knockout round...just a slight chance though. Golden State needs to beat Sac-town (could happen because Draymond returns) and we need to beat OkC by at least 21 points. Not completely out of the question, because OkC is out of the tournament and we have shown an ability to blow teams out when we're shooting well.

Chet Holmgren. Damn. He's not slowing down any...
18.1 ppg
8.0 reb
2.5 ast
2.3 blk
56/44/88 shooting splits
And his advanced stats on both sides of the ball are great, too.
It'll be fun to see how he fares vs. Gobert and/or Towns.

It's really too bad that the Wolves had the #1 pick in a bad draft year and had to settle for Anthony Edwards. We were all told that the Cade Cunningham draft was much better and had more can't miss players. Our luck always sucks.

I see what you did there.

I kinda wish your boy Camden was still here.
I'd like to hear his thoughts on Wiseman. But alas, he's busy running the point for the Lakers now.
[Note: I don't get into the draft picks talk too much. And sometimes it shows why it's best I stay out of it. I was a bit disappointed the Wolves took Edwards... granted, I definitely would have chosen him over Wiseman.]

I'm looking forward to see how the Wolves approach this game with 1st place on the line. I'm expecting them to bring it.

They aren't huge up front, so I expect the Wolves to try to get KAT and Rudy touches in the paint early. We'll see how many passes Rudy fumbles away before they give up on that strategy....

KAT needs to settle the eff down. He's back into his spaz mode on offense with reckless drives that end up as turnovers.

He was also a big stooge for Cade Cunningham. But I get your strategy about sitting the draft talk out. I mean, who really knows?
