2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft

So last year I predicted Nick Gordon would be our pick last year, so I thought I give my two cents on this years draft. Gordon has struggled a bit this year but he's 19 and has time to figure it out.
So I believe with the 6th pick in this draft we will select Daz Cameron the son of Mike Cameron. Dax was projected to become a top three pick his sophomore year of high school. There's some concerns about his hitting but I think he will be just fine. He has hell of glove and arm on him, but Most don't think he will have the speed to stay in centerfield, but hopefully with Buxton he would have to play a corner spot anyways. I think we will be lucky if he makes it past the Astros at 5. The reason why I believe we take Cameron is the three short stops will be gone by the time it's our pick and I don't the pitchers are that great in this draft.

I remember hearing that Cameron had a high price tag so I'm not sure we'll go that route.
Personally, I want Kyle Tucker if he falls to our draft slot. He looks like the most complete hitter in the draft to me. Old school swing, great hands, and able to hit to all fields. Camden likes a lot.

Just to clarify how Gordon is doing...yes, he is struggling at the plate, but he's even a better shortstop than the Twins anticipated when they drafted him and he's stealing a lot of bases too.
Tucker is my guy too. Already showing good power and might pack on another 25-30 pounds on his 6-4 frame.

Kyle tucker prospect video. Damn this kid is skinny though needs put on 30 pounds. Swing reminds me of Anthony Rizzos. I don't like that little hitch in his load when he swings I think he would struggle with 2 seamers inside all the time but they probably would fix it if it was a problem.

That's why I think the Astros will pass on him and take Tucker or a pitcher.

Twins aren't cheap anymore if they like a player they will spend money on them. The talent they have been able to put together in the minors the last couple years is amazing. The only spot they haven't seem to be able to do much with (unless I've missed something) is catcher despite that one draft a couple years it seemed like they took 20 of them. If you have just one weak position in your system you can live with that for a while it was pitching infielders and lack of power arms in general.

Well, we had Wilson Ramos, but Bill Smith's dumbass traded him for Matt Capps. Was a bad trade then, looks worse now.

That was the Bill Smith era (which I agree was AWFUL trying to decide who was worst Gm between him and Kahn makes me want to vomit) and if TR says multiple times they are trying to give away money in FA you know the Twins are spending money. Target Field helped change things but I think the younger Pohlads taking over may have changed things also. It's hard to get used to the Twins not being cheap though.
Oh it probably helped open the wallets some when your team sucks that bad you might be willing to spend more to hopefully not to suck. Lol

Our guy Tucker went one pick before us, so Twins take college lefty reliever Tyler Jay, Nasty stuff, with a Chris Sale ceiling. May be ready to contribute as early as this September as a lefty bullpen specialist, and then Twins plan to retool him in the minors as another lefty starter next to Gonsalves. Dez was available, but I like this pick better.
