Pre-season game 1 is tonight, which means it's time to crank up the official Wins Prediction Thread!

Given the bigger picture of playoff expectations, I feel it's appropriate to predict both regular season wins AND how far into the post-season you think we will go.

Please make your predictions, and if you so desire, explain your logic and any keys to the season from your perspective.

All right let's get it started. I am going to predict 57 wins and an NBA finals appearance.

My supporting factors:

1) Very deep roster
2) Experience gained from last years run
3) Improvement from our young Big 3 - Ant, Jaden, and NAZ
4) The addition of the 2 Knicks and 2 first round picks

I'm feeling pretty good about this team right now. But I don't think they are going to get to last year's win total for the following reason:

1) The West looks stronger than ever.
2) There may be some transitional issues as they work to integrate Randle and DiVo
3) I think Finchie is going to do a lot more load management this year, both to keep our guys fresh for the playoffs and to give guys like Rob, Shannon, Minott and Garza some playing time.

I'll go with 52 wins and a conference finals.
