Did his superstar burn out upon arrival?

I don't think it was ever lit. He approached it, but hasn't made it, at least not yet. The two things that have me feeling bad about this team:

1) I wasn't against trading KAT, but this trade sucked
2) I don't believe Ant has what it takes to lead a team to a championship. All star? Probably many times over. But I can tell you I for one was hoping for more.

He's 23 years old and is getting better every year, even younger then one of our rookies who is in the G league. I think your off the court judgements are clouding your mind. By the time he is 26-27 he'll be the best if not one of the top few in the game. Hard to tell with other guys like Wemby how he develops.

Just for the record, we drafted a guy who is older than Ant, yet by now you were hoping for more from Ant on the court?

If we left it up to the fanbase, Naz Reid would average 25/10/5 and lead us to a dynasty, but that's not gonna happen. I don't think we're winning a title ever, but if Ant ain't the guy, so be it, but then you really wanna blow all of this up to smithereens because that guy isn't on the roster and we're YEARS away from even dreaming of that guy being on the roster via the draft.

So the way this team has set themselves up, either hope Ant gets it done or find a hobby that won't bring you so much agita over the cold winter months.

He's one of the best in the game right now from a talent perspective, but champions have more than talent.

So Wiggins?

Many thought Ant was cross between Andrew Wiggins and Dion Waiters when he came out. Many thought he couldn't be a great shooter. Many thought he couldn't play good defense. Many thought he didn't even like the game. That wasn't that long ago. It remains to be seen where the tippy top of his game is. It might be good to keep doubting him, actually.

Ant is not the problem with this team. He is still very talented and will be our best player as long as he is here.

Our problems in no particular order are Randle, Conley, Jaden, DDV and Rudy. Once they start locking in we will see gains.

Of course Ant is our best player. I'm just betting he doesn't have the goods to win a championship, and that's all I care about.

This board is always talking about who was good, who sucked after every game. It doesn't matter, did we win or not? I could care less if player X,Y, or Z had a good game, wins and losses are what matters.
