The national media are a bunch of clowns. They all say the Vikes should sign Darnold to a long term deal. But they haven't watched him play every game. He holds the ball for a very long time (some can be attributed to KOCs offense sure but the stats say so also) and takes too many sacks. He doesn't see the open guy simply quick enough.

He's fine. He's a mid pack QB in a superb system. You don't win Superbowls though by overpaying for a mid tier QB. That is idiotic. I'm rooting like hell for the guy to go all the way.

What no one even comprehends is what if JJ McCarthy in a couple years is BETTER then Darnold? I think the odds of that are pretty good. Then you got an extra 40 million or whatever more to spend on a couple good defenders to even further beef up the TEAM. Teams win. Besides we already paid big for Darrisaw and Jets. It would be foolish to sink more money into the offense and leave the defense hanging.

I say franchise tag Darnold and trade him for picks. Someone will want him and we got the future in JJ ready to go. I think this chance of happening is a lock at this point.

I would have put Mullens in at half. Darnold is not seeing it and when he does he is missing wildly.

What is funny. When Detroit drafted Gibbs I knew he would fuck us over, I was pissed. I'm a big Bama fan and I knew he was a stud. He's so quick and fast, he RIPS. Great hands. All I heard was people ripping the Lions for it. They had no clue.

I was surprised the draft "experts" didn't really know the guy or underestimated him. He played a season for Bama and was so sick. He was the best back I had seen for my team, up there with Henry. Completely different back of course.

You know when I thought we were screwed. When the team showered Darnold last week and lifted him up like he won the fucking SB. Dudes, you haven't won shit yet. The games really matter now, not last week. Also there goes Darnold trade value. It's now zero.
