Haven't A Clue - Clippers at Wolves GDT

I don't know WTF is going on. It seems the Wolves should be close to what they were last year, but they are not. We keep waiting for something to click, or some change to help make the click happen. And neither has happened. But I keep coming back to see if a click will finally happen.

Flagarant Howls today touched on some stats, just like kek did, that show how terrible the currently lineup combinations have been. And it's tough to understand why those combinations don't change. Is it directed from the FO? Is it too much "loyalty" from Finch to certain players?

Anyway, I'll keep paying attention, at least through the trade deadline. Although, I have to believe something will get figured out. We don't even have our first round pick next year, so there is no reason to piss away the season!

Hope springs eternal, but though I've searched desperately, I can't find a reason to get excited about this team. I wonder how much the singular act of jettisoning Randle could alter the landscape. Move NAZ into the starting lineup and add a solid rotational player in the trade. We need some kind of shakeup and it's overdue. Sometimes a move like this can make a dramatic difference.

To your point, the Kings have reeled off four straight victories against some pretty tough opponents since getting rid of Mike Brown.

Another example are the two deadline trades that Dallas made last year to acquire P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford.

Lastly, the Wolves themselves are a good example from the season before Rudy got here where we put Beverley and Vanderbilt in the starting lineup and suddenly started winning games.

That's a coaching change, a mid-season trade, and a lineup change. All helped change the trajectory of the team, at least in the short term.

Dallas nailed the deadline last year

Not sure if i like it. DDV isn't a point guard and struggles when he has to be. Also probably means Dillingham is out of the rotation

Yeah, I don't if just one change will be enough. But there is no doubt that Conley was struggling more than anyone else, and with his limited minutes, it just did not create a good rotation. I like the DDV/ANT backcourt. To start the season I proposed that could be our starting backcourt for the next few years with Dilly coming off the bench. Mike might provide a boost to the bench crew, too.

There it is! I wonder if Mike volunteered to go to the bench. He has the self-awareness and maturity to do it and Finch was probably hoping he'd volunteer rather than being volun-told.

The Suns move to bring Beal and Nurkic off the bench got off to a VERY slow start. But they seem to be recovering...
