Grade 3 Big Toe Sprain - Wolves at Memphis GDT

Just saw the news on DDV, so figured I would start the GDT with it. Damn! I wonder if he could be lost for the season? It will certainly be an extended absence. I wonder if this might factor into any trade decisions the Wolves might make in the coming weeks.

Anyway, early start today for Wolves. Can we improve upon our 18 turnovers and 21 offensive boards given up in a game we lost by 2 points?!?

Rudy also questionable. Eddy vs Garza the best 2 college centers in the last 20 years

I mentioned the severity of Divincenzo's injury earlier this week.

Best case was two weeks... worst case was surgery.

There's recent history to this sort of injury with other players. Unfortunately, it happened at the worst time for him. He was finding his role (and his own game) after a slow start.

[Note: This is why a completely healthy Wolves team needed to bank wins earlier in the season. Imagine losing Edwards for even two weeks at this point. The team would be in trouble.]

When I injured my big toe as a 11 year old I put a super cheese homemade cast on it like cardboard and ducktape. It hurt like a mother to try and put socks and shoes on. It was a soccer injury during a game which didn't even hurt at the time. Only after the game did I start feeling it. Really weird. I guess adrenaline and all that.

I finally went to the doctor after a week or so and they said it's fractured. I was only out about a month I think though. I would be more cautious if I were DDV though!

Hmm... I gotta think IF the Wolves were contemplating moving NAW at the trade deadline to get an asset, the DDV injury will squash that line of thinking!

It should be even more reason to move NAW IMO. The chances of winning the same or more without Donte are slim and none. Use NAW as a means to retool for the future.

Rudy is questionable today with an ankle sprain, and Ja has been upgraded to probably. This will be a difficult game for the Wolves today. Griz favored by 6 1/2.

Rudy is in!

Hmm... I completely forgot that Wells really took it to ANT last game. I assume they'll have some strategy to involve ANT more than he did in the last game.
