Stats through 4 SL games

Here are the stats from the 4 SL games

https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/summe ... rwolves/17

A couple things that jumped out at me.

For the type of player he is Edwards went to the FT like quite a bit. Sort of like Rudy in that he likely forced teams to foul him because he was around the basket etc. He has low rebound numbers but he also seemed to be keeping balls alive etc.

Bailey put up sole nice assist numbers and he isn't a PG. I hope they bring him to Iowa as an affiliate player.

Clark might have passed up sole 3's but he definitely put up a pretty solid volume of them. Speaking of volume 3's TSJ put up a shit ton which is a very good sign.

Thanks for this. Monster. Not a very good shooting performance by our 4-0 SL team...kind of shows how dominant our defense was.

I don't think we will see much of the players we are interested in watching today. Vegas must not think many (or any) of our starters will play either, because we're only 3 1/2 point favorites over a winless Rockets team. I'm not a fan of resting guys in SL...they can get hurt almost as easily in practice, and you would think the coaches (and fans) would want to see what these guys can do in game situations.

I don't need to see Clark play anymore someone else can get a look. Dillingham can probably use more reps. I'd be a little surprised if Fulton doesn't get some decent burn. It's interesting that the Wolves have gone to such a tight rotation the last couple years. I'm not saying it's a bad thing it's just different than what teams did before rotating more guys in. How much can you take from 4-5 SL games much less a handful of minutes in a game or 2? Still even they guys that never play there is sole value in having an NBA team get a look at you and in the case of the Wolves SL team you are practicing against some pretty solid talent.

Yeah, it might be fun to see Fulton after the positive comments I have heard about him. He certainly wasn't very impressive in his one short stint though.

Yeah, I’d like to see Fulton too. I think it makes sense to sit TJ, Clark and Dilly today, not because of injury risk but to give major playing time to guys like Fulton who haven’t had the chance to play much if any all to date. I’d probably also give far fewer minutes to Beringer and Edwards to open up more PT for Rocco.

Not sure it matters at all but the HC told Fulton that he was not going to play last game and then he was just randomly thrown out there. So not sure where his mindset was going into the game. Could be used as a legit excuse for poor play or a negative

Interesting, Kek, and very odd...since Fulton entered the game in the first half I think, not in mop up minutes. Shame on Hanson for putting a guy into a game that wasn't mentally prepared to play...maybe that's why Hanson is the one Wolves assistant coach I know absolutely nothing about! Where did you hear this report, kek?

Maybe someone had to go to the bathroom or something and wasn't available to get in. I wondered later in the game if it was something like that because it seemed a little odd.

I don't know how you don't know about Kevin Hansen. He has been here since 2019. I'm pretty sure he was an assistant along with Finch in New Orleans. He started with the Spurs under Pop. His thing at one time was working with bigs but I'd guess that's not his only thing at this point. Seems like a really cool dude.

Thanks for posting this Monster. RealGM probably has the best stats stuff out there in terms of covering all the bases with a player all in one place - summer league, NCAA, NBA, etc.

I like to look at stats on a per 36 minute basis since it equalizes everyone and also gives you a feel for the stats in the context of a full-time starter. TJ's jump off the page even more, putting up 27 pts/7 rebs/6 assts per 36 minutes along with a couple of steals and great shooting/free throw numbers. The playmaking for others and 3-point shot both look improved. He could be really, really good and I just have a really hard time seeing him play less than 20 MPG next season, with that being the absolute floor on his minutes.

One of the most impressive stats with Beringer is the asst:To ratio. In the absence of being able to just watch someone play, it's a pretty good stat for evaluating BBIQ and decision making. He is almost at a 2:1 assist;TO ratio, which is really good for a Center. Just the perfect prospect to have in the Center pipeline given that most of our PFs (except when Jade plays PF) are defensively limited.
