I’m over in Switzerland closing in on 2 am, but I am up and anxious to watch JJ McCarthy and the Vikings in their season opener!

I don’t expect much activity here, but wanted to acknowledge the Vikings and our high hopes for this season.

3 and out on the first possession for the QB some sarcastically called "the hand-off specialist" coming out of college. He looks relaxed and confident...just don't know if he's good enough. I guess we'll find out.

6 and out. Tough to play your first game on MNF in front of a hostile crowd, so I'm not going to form any conclusions based on one night.

No Darrisaw has been killing us though! Missed a run block even too.

Of course no Addison either.

I think we're finding out that a second year QB who went first in the draft is going to be more comfortable than a rookie in his first game who went 10th. All that said, we're only down by 4 because of the Bears' penalties.

Yeah, I think JJ was alright considering first start on the road, missing best O-Lineman and stud WR. I say give it a month to settle in and get these guys back and rolling (Addison will be back for game 4). Jets even dropped that one ball he catches nearly every time. All in all, fine 1st half.

I was thinking too, Thielen must really believe in JJ and the Vikes to want to come back here AND take a 2 mill paycut. Thats some serious belief in a guy and a team.

Bench this guy getting Skuled, I haven't seen a bigger cone for a OL-man.

JJ is now at a D grade, Skule am F- however. Man we miss Darrisaw.
