First "Group Play" game tonight. Don't let me down, Wolves!
ANT is already IN, but Shannon is still OUT. Hopefully tonight begins a string of games to help cure our various ailments.

Here's Clark today after shoot-around. There's some insightful "behind-the-scenes" stuff there. Enjoy.

Jaylen came across very confident and sure of his place on the team. Rob, not so much:

Utah is a bad team. Inefficient scoring (50.7 efg% compared to our 58%) and second in the league to the Wizards with 16.8 turnovers per game. They have rebounded the ball well, but not as well since Kessler went down. Meanwhile our Wolves are struggling to stop anyone...4th worst DRtg in the Association. Hopefully playing a crappy team like the Jazz twice in 3 days is just what we need to figure out what we're doing wrong on defense. I think most of us here agree that Clark needs to play more...he doesn't have the requisite 100 minutes yet to show up on cleaning the glass, but he is third in on/off behind the usual suspects Rudy and Mike. I'd like to see him get some more time paired with Rudy... even though they are both considered offensively challenged, they have an ORTg of 115.9 when playing together, and of course a stellar DRtg of 98.1. He needs to play more than the 16MPG he's getting. Shannon's absence should lead to him getting at least 20 minutes, and that should do a lot for our defense.

Yeah, more Clark should help. Naz definitely needs to improve too. If not, it might honestly be time to consider dialling down his minutes and getting Beringer or Rocco out there for a spell when Rudy is off the court.
Bottom line is that we have GOT to start playing much better defense across the board. If we don't, this could end up being a disappointing season. Time to start playing with some pride on that end!

Winning the NBA Cup is just the springboard this team needs.

Ant starting the game on fire on both ends.

Julius being able to hit that 3-ball so consistently makes him so much more compatible with Ant offensively since they can each space the floor for each other versus Ant just spacing out for Julius. Hopefully he's leveled up his shot for good, as I know it hasn't always been dependable.

Interesting set play a little earlier with Ant getting the high screen from Rudy, then getting it back to Rudy on the short roll and then Rudy finding Jaden on the baseline cut. Pretty stuff where all three guys did their job well. Point Ant!
