I don't got much to say. I probably won't be able to post during the game.
Hopefully JJ keeps showing improvements. I'm not sure what to expect from the defense. Lamar Jackson is not the stationary Jared Goff, so the defensive game plan will likely be quite different.
A win would be damn impressive!

It's a loss. Ravens are pretty much full strength with Lamar back, I think I heard they're favored by 4.5. They're about to go on a big playoff run now and at 3-5 they can't do that without a win. I don't see the Ravens not doing it, so unfortunately for us we lose.
Should be fun to watch though, but I see no way to win.

Thanks for that, Debbie Downer!
Most people didn't think the Vikings would get a win in Detroit...
I'll be watching the game with a hardcore Ravens' fan. I won't join you on the "no way to win" wagon, but I don't have high expectations, either. We agree it will a fun game to watch -- I just love seeing JJ's growth, with all its successes and bumps and bruises. And I'm intrigued to see if the Vikings defense found a little something last week (having an offense that doesn't go 3-and-out every damn time sure would help, just like it did last week).

This will be a tough one to win, but not impossible. And it might be JJ's first game with impressive stats. While he's 2-1 this season, he only averages 148 yards passing per game. But today he gets to face a Ravens team that doesn't put much pressure on the QB and give up 250 passing yards per game...5th worst in the NFL. The Ravens are going to score a lot of points so I think we will be throwing the ball a lot. Today is a good chance for JJ to show he can be a good starting QB in the NFL. Let's see if he's up to it.

I still think he needs the rest of the year and next offseason to further fine tune his skills, he needs reps missing nearly a year and a half of football. He's still the youngest starting QB in the NFL and least experienced too. He just needs time. If he throws for 250 and a few TD's I'd be shocked and I'm the guy who wanted to draft him.
It just takes time.
I think the only way we win is if we can run the ball decently well and play good defense.
I'm calling it a loss.

The win in Detroit was a miracle, we hadn't won their under KOC or since like 2020 or something. So maybe we do win today??? Nah, lol

Does home field advantage mean much in the NFL? Not sure how much that gives the Vikes a boost.

It means a little...home teams generally win about 55% of the time. It's deafening at Vikings games when we're on defense which makes it difficult for offenses to communicate. All that said, the Vikes are only 1-2 at home this year.

Of course, even a bad quarterback might look good with the amount of time JJ has!
