It's a Trap! - Kings at Wolves GDT

The Wolves just stomped the Kings by 27 points on their homecourt 5 days ago. The Kings will want to settle the score. It's a NBA Cup game. And the Wolves will have Denver on their minds for tomorrow night. That's a TRAP game!
But do I really think it's a trap game? Hell no! The Wolves are playing great basketball. They are coming off 3 days off. I expect them to come out and take care of business.

News: 18 hours ago Shannon has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Kings due to a left fifth metatarsal bone bruise.
Spin: What was initially being listed as a sore foot is now being described as a fifth metatarsal bone bruise, which is more specific and a bit more severe of a foot issue. Friday will mark Shannon's fifth straight game on the sidelines, and it's not a great sign that he's getting ruled out 24 hours in advance of tipoff. The Timberwolves have been sparse with updates, so for now, Shannon can be considered week-to-week.

I wonder if he was playing on it to start the year possibly causing his lack of production. He didn't look great.

In my experience expectations only lead to disappointment with Minnesota teams!

Regardless of what the situation is with Shannon, we should all want him to get healthy and become the very best version of himself this season. Peak Shannon is badly needed to go deep in the playoffs.

I suspect he did have the injury and he was playing through it, however due to his lack of production they decided to let him heal up. Yes we for sure need him to beat OKC imo, maybe others, they are looking like the best team by far. Long ways to go, but if healthy they'll be big favorites to win it all.

Hopefully we can blow these guys out again so the on-court minutes can be minimized with Denver coming in back to back.

This impacts tomorrow night's game: Braun will be re-evaluated in 6 weeks after spraining an ankle. Must be a pretty severe sprain. Denver is really deep, but losing a starter dings them a bit.

Christie gave his team a profanity-laced beating after getting blown out by Atlanta Wednesday night...told him he would have given more effort at 55 than they did! It will be interesting to see how they respond, but my guess is not well. Sabonis has sore ribs and probably wants nothing to do with Gobert...I wouldn't be surprised is they look at this as a scheduled loss and rest him and Monk. It's a cup game (I'm gonna go check out that green court) so another blowout would be good for us.
