The Ja Audition - Griz at Wolves GDT

Just kidding! I've watched him play a couple of times recently. He's either nursing an injury, or lost a step. Add in some of the character issues (and TC is a big character guy!), availability issues and statistical flaws, Ja will not be a Timberwolf.
Conley is definitely out. ANT is questionable. It sure would be nice if he could get a game under his belt before Friday's game against OKC. And if ANT plays, does Bones still play a key role as one of the top 7 guys, with Shannon, Clark and Dilly filling in for 8th thru 10th?
Iowa Wolves are heading down to Orlando for a G-league tournament. Where does Beringer go?
According to Tankathon, the Wolves have the 3rd toughest schedule remaining. Tonight will not improve that ranking. Need to get these wins while we can...

It didn't sound like Ant practiced yesterday in Finch's interview. He went through player development, but didn't' go through practice. Finch said both Ant and Mike are progressing well though.

Ja is questionable, but I hope he plays...not a winning basketball player. But Zach Edey being out really hurts Memphis. He's turned into a rebounding and defensive monster, and they were winning a lot of games when he was healthy. It will be fun to watch Jaylen Wells face guarding Ant all night if he plays.
Let's win this one and move into a 5th place tie with Houston.

I was really skeptical of how Edey would do in the NBA coming out of Purdue. I thought he was too damn slow and big to play in the modern-day NBA and had memories of how Roy Hibbert basically became obsolete while in the prime of his career. Edey has proven that a very traditional huge and slow big man can still thrive in the NBA. Gives me hope for Rocco, who is doing well in the G-League at the age Edey was in his 2nd year at Purdue averaging 14 points and 7 rebounds a game.

I couldn't agree more, Q...both about how skeptical I was that Edey would ever be a good NBA player, and what it means for our 7-4 guy.

Both ANT and Mike are OUT tonight. I assume this means another start for Bones. What a major opportunity he is getting for establishing himself as a regular rotation guy. I hope he keeps running with it!

Not just Bones, but Dillingham too. I thought Dilly had a good second stint in the Golden State game and then built off of it with a really good game against Sacramento. Of course, we've seen glimmers from him before only to then regress to the mean again, which is terrible basketball. Can he finally raise his baseline peformance level from "bad" to "serviceable"??

I like the manner in which we play when Ant is out, so as long as we get a win I can deal with him missing another game. If he doesn't play Friday, I'm going to start to wonder what's going on. It's not like him to miss games.

Another slow start for our guys. Bad break for us that Ja is out, but we have to find a way to overcome it.
