NBA "superstars" are embarrassing and need to be suspended

Jokic and SGA are pansy ass flop artists and make a mockery out of the sport. They make watching the NBA horrific to watch!
It's a terrible product to watch a 300 pound Jokic flop on the ground backwards like a grenade was blown up in his face when DDV goes straight up after that last second in bounds play against the Wolves. Only one ref was fooled and it was the clown of all clowns.
Don't get me started on SGA, he probably learned it from watching Harden, another known foul grifter and flopper!
Bottom line, these guys need to get suspended for games to stop these shenanigans. You flop, one game, next flop, another game and so on. Thats the only punishment that will matter and make these clowns toughen up! You try and win this game with a flop, then you're suspended without pay out for the next.

I did notice that Jokic has a habit, even when the ball wasn't in play, of flailing his arms when he feels any contact. He also snaps his head everytime on drives, makes a grimace face and then continues his drive because nothing actually hindered him.
I know some loathe Ant's "HEY" calls but this is literally the nonverbal version but also 90% fabricated.
I think the really sad part is that guys like SGA, Luka and Jokic are the MVP favorites and are so good without the flopping and flailing but do it anyway. I'm starting to think its a coping mechanism for being tired throughout the game.

Just suspend them for it. I can't be the only one sick with all the crap they do. It's just annoying, it's not basketball!!!
I don't like Ant's "hey" calls all the time, but it's not as bad as flopping. That's worse.
Start suspending these clowns and they'll stop. Right now they're rewarded for the flops, we need to do the opposite and punish the behavior.

There is very little equivalence between the heys and the flopping that Shai and Luka do lol
But yeah something must be done about flopping or dumbass jump into a defender and throw up a "shot" move that is somehow a penalty

WF, you might have missed my post in another thread, but at least as it pertains to SGA, it appears that the refs are catching on...he hasn't had a 10 free throw attempts game in weeks after having them regularly the first quarter of the season.
Personally I'm not as offended by the grifting as most here, and actually wish our guys were better at it. I've always been a fan of doing anything you can within the rules to win. A personal example: I still play senior men's baseball as an outfielder, and if I catch a ball on the short hop, the first thing I do as raise my glove to the umpire to try to convince him I caught it...sometimes it works. Is it grifting. Of course...but it's part of the game, just like a catcher framing a pitch that clearly is outside the strike zone!
Having said that, I wish the refs were smarter about not calling fouls on flops. Fortunately looking at SGA's declining free throw rate, it looks like it's trending in that direction.

I get it, the players do whatever they can to win, so how do you stop it and make the game more enjoyable to watch? You have to be harsh, the fines never took, and I'm not sure if suspensions could hold either unless the players all agreed on it. Thats the only way it works is if they all agree to man up and quit being bitches.

Oddly enough, I think social media has had a big impact on how the referees are handling flopping. After a particularly egregious flop by SGA was shared on X thousands of times a few weeks ago, it seems like the referees were embarrassed by it, because SGA is not being rewarded nearly as much as he used to be. This may be a trend...Jokic's last two games were big free throw games for him, but he had 8 or fewer attempts in 8 of the 10 preceding games. As I said before, I'm seldom offended by something a player does to try to gain an advantage. That said, I would like it if the refs stopped rewarding flops mainly because our team isn't very good at it!

Public embarrassment is a good one. The media should really be jumping on these guys more for flopping too, call them out for being bitches.
I come from a golfers background and mentality. You don't do whatever possible it takes to win, you win or lose with class and respect the game most of all, you call yourself on penalties! These guys like Joker and SGA are not respecting the game and utterly classless.
I know some people want Ant to become a bitch and foul grifter, but I respect him more for playing the game straight up. The act of the play shouldn't be to ultimately just draw a foul, it's to make the bucket. If you also draw a foul, thats the bonus. Not the ultimate goal of the play. I don't want to watch guys hunt for fouls all game. It's not appealing obviously.

Not a golf player myself but I love the parallel! Respect the game and respect yourself! I can say with 100% confidence that we're in their position I would regard my integrity much higher than winning at all cost.
I'm glad Ant doesn't grift and the "Heys" can be mildly annoying but the dudes whistle is awful and I'd be pretty pissed too

Yeah, that was a very good rebuttal by WF, and he's right about golf! But I would argue that golf is an exception to other sports in many ways. It's one of the few spectator sports where fans are required to keep silent during play for instance. I'm not sure I can think of any other sport where you would be required to call a penalty on yourself or be penalized for trying to fool an official. Do we want Rudy Gobert to tell the ref "I fouled him" if the ref doesn't see the foul?
