Thoughts?

I'm leaning to fire now, I wasn't when a lot of you were on board (in the past this season) but I am doubting this downward trend changes enough to make a real playoff run. The team looks extra crispy.
Now saying that, if they start to win a game here or there I'd be fairly surprised if a change is made, prior to the offseason.

It's exactly the same for me. I would have emphatically said no not too long ago, but there is just something and has been something fundamentally wrong with this team, and not even close to all of it is on Finch.
That said, something needs to be done at this point. This type of oscillation in play quality and commitment can't be presumed to be ok.
Jaden, Julius and Rudy are all in slumps of one kind or another independent of anything to do with coaching, but I just can't stand to watch more basketball of team that still seems to have no idea what the hell they're supposed to do on a given night. Is part of that on the players? Surely, but there is clearly something Finch is or isn't doing that fails to prepare players, get them to buy in and gets them to understand the game plan.

You only fire Finch now if you think it salvages the season and spurs them onto a deep playoff run.
Otherwise, you're throwing in the towel now.
I just hope people also look at Tim's body of work and understand that his shortcomings are fatal to a team's title hopes.

Fire the whole team and watch the Wild instead.

I say play out the season, as I may be the only one here feeling some optimism about the post season. But if we don't get out of the first round, I would look to fire Finchy and bring in a coach not afraid to bench Ant (and Ju if he is still here) when he shows no effort on defense....Malone or Jenkins preferably.

I doubt a coaching change does enough to make us a legit contender, but still, I'm with you. This half ass effort play is so annoying I'm fine if they let him walk.

I do think "how Ant goes the team goes". He half asses it defensively WAYYYY too much, and thus if your best player isn't playing up to par or with decent effort, then it's hard for anyone else to. Like who else can take the reigns and lead this team? It's not been Finch, not Ant, not anyone really right now.
If Ant were to step up his intensity then the rest have to follow, I think that would be really evident.
Now we could get another playoff run, but my biggest concern is on going. Can you really half ass your way through the regular season then step it up and win it all? It is a super rare thing I think, that a team under performs all year then is able to step it up when it matters most and win it all. Thus I was really hoping at least that we finish the regular season really strong and head into the playoffs playing well. Now that looks like were just going to sleep walk there (maybe if we win enough games to qualify) then try and turn it up. I doubt it works, not to the championship winning level.

Finch has earned the chance to make a postseason run, but if we continue on the current trajectory he doesn't stand much of a chance with an early exit.

He should have been fired 2 months ago. The sheer talent on this team is what carried them to their current record. Finch is a poor offensive mind and has been getting worse with his rotations. The players need a new voice, especially Ant. He just doesn't try hard enough anymore and there is no remedy to it with Finch at the helm.
