Remember the Alamo! - Spurs at Wolves G6 GDT

kek's fired after that last GDT. I'll stick my neck out for what could be the final game for the Wolves this season. But I will reuse kek's most notable mantra: just find a way!

Forcing a Game 7 would be great for a lot of reasons. Our young core gets to add another Game 7 experience under their belt. It would force the young Spurs to experience their first Game 7. And who knows, maybe the Wolves would come out on top! But first things first. Win Game 6!

Randle has been bad. The Randle-Gobert combo has been bad. Does Finch adjust the starting lineup? And if so, who does NAZ replace? Randle or Gobert?

The Wolves were beat down and embarrassed last game. In classic Wolves fashion I think Ju and Rudy come back to have good games, whatever that looks like against Wemby and we win this one.

Great question about the starting lineup, Tim...the airwaves have been filled with opinions. My guess is Finchy stays with the same starting five...any advantages gained by a switch could be more than offset by the negative psychological impact of a benching. But if he does move Naz into the starting lineup, who he replaces could signal what direction TC plans to go in the offseason. Replacing Randle might be an indication they have already decided to move him in the offseason, and aren't concerned about how he reacts to it. But some are saying it is Rudy he should replace. Let Ju beat up Vic a little, and then let Rudy play when Kornet comes in. We'll have to see...

The Kornet instead of Vic moments will be critical. Kornet seems like a decent backup center, but the Spurs are getting outscored by 13 points per 100 possessions when he is in as opposed to out. In contrast the Spurs are a +14 per 100 when Vic is in. And for those thinking "small sample size", the numbers are almost identical for the entire season. The formula for getting to a game 7 is:

1) survive the Wemby minutes
2) dominate the Kornet minutes
3) hope that the refs allow us to play physical (ref assignment will be out in a few minutes)

Let's go!!!!!!

We dodged the Brothers/Foster bullet...we get the James Capers crew. Probably the best choice for us, because he has a reputation of favoring the home team. A fired-up 8:30 crowd could have an impact on a ref with this tendency.

My Wolves in 7 prediction is alive and well. The podcasters have all but started preparing for Spurs/Thunder. It is what people have wanted all along. It be so awesome to rain on their parades.

I think the starting lineup stays intact for reasons you cited. But after the first few minutes... all bets are off.

12 minutes for Rudy? Randle sits most of the 2nd half? We'll see what happens... but nothing would surprise me too much after the first shift.

they might need Bones tonight. He's one of our better hopes for a boost in points and energy.

I’m not sure this series has done a lot to secure Bones’ future with the Wolves…

I'd like to see at least one stint of Ant, Ayo, TSJ, Jaden, and Naz. That unit will have to work their butts off on defense, but on offense you are forcing Wemby to come out of the paint. It might work, and it might not, but hey we've been blown out twice now.

I don't know who he guards. Mike Conley is being targeted constantly... and I trust him MUCH more defensively than Bones.

Also... Old Man Mike has had a decent series offensively.

8 - 15 on threes.
13 assists and only 1 TO.

I don't see him sitting at this point for Bones who's 0 - 10 in this series.
