Who will start the most games at PF for the Wolves next year?

I would love to do Poll, but I don't think the player is on the roster.

Kaufman Renn for 20 and 10! Seems like a better bet than KYKE Anderson.

Those are the two options we can afford currently.

Memphis is interesting to look at. They have Zach Edey and just added Isaiah Stewart, Cam Boozer and Karim Lopez.

They have Santi Aldama, Taylor Hendricks, and GG Jackson as well.

If they brought on Beef Stew, Boozer and Lopez to play maybe they would value getting off of Aldama's extra year of salary for Josh Green's expiring. Either way they have a lot of guys and a bit of a roster crunch.

I love the idea of swapping Green for Aldama but I don’t think it’s possible because the Wolves would be taking back more salary than they’d be sending out and would end up a little over the 1st apron as a result. The Wolves would have to include another outgoing salary - maybe TSJ or Donte.

Unless we trade Rudy or Donte, I think our only option is to find the best forward at the $6 million taxpayer MLE level. Obviously, that won’t bring in a starting forward, but it could land us a decent front-court role-player off the bench.

On the trade front, don’t be surprised if the BIG trade is made BIGGER which results in a legit PF coming our way.

Also, on July 1st there will be FA PFs lining up at TC’s door, not for the money, but for the playing time opportunity the Wolves have.

I’m not worried about having competent PFs to start the season, I’m just interested in who they will be. And I don’t expect to wait long — TC generally gets his business done early.

That's how I see it, Tim. I don't disagree with some here that Jaden is capable of playing the 4, but I would prefer someone else with Ayo lighting it up off the bench. And I agree that TC will have lots of PFs lining up...the chance to start next to arguably the best backcourt in the Association along with Rudy and Jaden is going to be very attractive to several PFs,

As of the transactions we know about, here are our top five players in terms of salary based on Lip's Salary Cap summary:

1. Edwards - $48,924,624
2. Ball: $40,770,530 + trade kicker of $6,115,580 = $46,886,110
3. Rudy - $36,500,000
4. Jaden - $25,750,000
5. Ayo - $19,200,000

Don't you guys think that these will be our five best players even after we fill out the rest of the roster?

If your answer is yes, than it's most likely these are the five guys that play the most together, whether Ayo comes off the bench or not.

That's a long way of saying that whoever we end up acquiring probably isn't going to be among our top 5 players and may not even be among our top 7 depending on how Joan and Shannon develop. Sure, it's important we add quality depth (which may include a token starting PF or wing stopper to start next to Jaden), but in the end it's the five guys above that are going to play the most minutes together.

Anybody else kinda missing Leonard Miller right now?

Anthony Edwards. He could be our Charles Barkley! He is a great rebounder and likes to bang down low. This keeps him fresh for the other end as well.

I won't be a separate trade. As currently constructed the Wolves have 56.6m out and 55.4m in.
If they reroute Green, they have at least 15.9m to play with just from that. Based on what I'm seeing sending Green there and Aldama here would work in a 5 team trade.
