I might be missing this late game tonight due to traveling. But I have a chance to start the GDT.
My guess is Joan is shut down for the last game. This is Freeman’s last opportunity to make a case for keeping his 2-way.

Hoping to see Evans make some shots! He's certainly elite at taking them!
All joking aside, there is some evidence that the willingness and ability to get off a lot of 3s is in and of itself an indicator of shooting potential even if they aren't going in at a high rate....we may need to give Evans a year or so before his make-rate catches up with his take-rate....

Nice oop finish and block sequence by Rocco. He is worth putting more time into.

My only positive watching the "highlights" was that Rocco has made some progress. Last year he looked slow and terrible. Size is nice but you can't play in the NBA with just size. You need skill. You can be relatively slow and big if you're skilled (Joker). You can't be slow and unskilled though and he's made some progress.
Pully boy is my dude, he looks NBA playable.
Evans thus far needs a few years also.

Great game if you are neutral and don't care about how various guys looked. The Wolves came back from 27 down in the 2nd half to tie it up and send it to OT....then lost.
- Evans took a lot of difficult shots, but has the ability to make (some of) them. Just his ability and confidence to rise up and take shots with guys right in his face is a skill, but I think it could be a while before he can make a high enough percentage of them against NBA defenders to justify regular playing time. I'm not that impressed with the rest of his game. He is going to need to be a volume shot-maker if he's going to make it in the NBA.
- Once again TKR was a plus in +/- in a game we lost and in limited minutes. In all five games TKR played, there was never a stint where we lost the minutes he was on the floor. Since he's behind Rocco in seniority, he only played as his backup. But right now he's the better player than Rocco and Freeman. Is he NBA-bench-ready?? Not as sure about that.
- Pullin wasn't as sharp in this game. He was good, but not great.
- I still don't understand why we have Freeman on a 2-way other than he plays a position of need. I mean, did anyone notice a difference between him and Jaylin Williams? Is Freeman better? I'm not so sure.
- Rocco had a solid game, but just doesn't impact winning enough given how much bigger he is than everyone else. He needs to stay on a 2-way and keep getting stronger and in better shape. No way is he ready to contribute to the big league team yet. I do think his overall fitness level is better than this time last year, but I'm not sure how one addresses things like slow reaction time. Seems kind of immutable.

Yeah Rocco doesn't get me excited, but I am a bit less concerned if he had to play 12 minutes here or there. I think we go small though probably if when we sustain a Rudy/Joan injury.

Q I just didn't see TKR play enough in SL to get a real read on how good he is or isn't but personally I wouldn't give him any type of contract. Send him to Iowa and see what he can do there. I'd guess that's the plan.
Freeman both of us were kinda fans of his in a way but both of us are now down on him after SL. He just didn't do nearly enough as a solid is enough type guy to be a solid is enough type guy. The ingredients are still there but his play was too uneven. Williams certainly had a nice game. I actually kinda like him when he is doing his thing. He is more of a big SG with legit physical size to play as a little undersized stretch 4. I'd like to see him at Iowa too but idk if another G-league team still has his rights.
Santos got back on track and got some favorable calls.
Pullin wasn't as good in this game. Pedulla outplayed him although I had kinda liked what I had seen for Pedulla in other games previously.
Rocco still has a ways to go but he showed more positives as the games went on. There is legit skill there and he just needs to keep making improvements. If he makes as many improvements as he did in a year from last year that's a pretty big deal. He was pretty raw last SL and could barely play for more than a couple minutes. He seemed to be able to play longer stretches the last couple games.
Donovan Williams...I wish he could hit 3's I would want him to get a 2 way deal. Maybe he should get the one we gave freeman but a perimeter player that isn't gonna hit a 3...is kinda tough. It's also not impossible that he can hit 3's but that's his issue.
I like your take on Evans shooting. His size is gonna really help. He seems invested in playing defense most of the time so that's good. There does seem to be enough physical ability to be a defender. It will be interesting to see if they play him some in Iowa.
