Allstar Week

Well today was the futures game, the thing I'm looking forward most to besides the Derby tomorrow.

Berrios was tons of fun to watch pitch and I just keep thinking this guy is just gonna get better, he was constantly hitting 95 on the gun, but idk if he didn't have a good curve today or he just doesn't have a plus breaking ball but it sure looked like he was my fully snapping it off.

Alex Meyer I wish I could've seen more of f-ing 6 pitches in his one inning. He threw the hardest of the night by hitting 97-98 on the gun. Meyer in two years of he futures game has throwin a total of 10 pitches now lol

I tell you boys the future is right and these boys are coming soon. I know I might be embellishing but I think we've a chance of having an early 2000 Oakland like pitching staff.

Off to the Derby tomorrow I'll be sitting in Dead Center with my little sister in Row 3 wearing my beige Nishi shirt jersey (Never Forget) lol. My prediction is that Justin has a homecoming and wins the whole thing again.

I'm jealous that you're there for all the action, and I'm stuck here in LA. I cant even watch the Derby tomorrow because I have a late afternoon game of my own. Go Doz...he got a nice head start with 2 today!

I did see some of the Futures game, and you're right about Berrios' curve ball. It was sloppy today, and I thought he was lucky he didn't throw any for strikes. But that fastball! He was hitting 95 effortlessly. Also threw one nice change that I didn't know he had. Although he didn't have his breaking ball, I was really impressed with him...very composed. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the bigs in 2016-7 when he'll only be 22.

I didn't see Meyer, but I did see one at bat for Vargas. Amazingly quick hands for a guy that big...really turned on a fastball for a double. The big guy doesn't run too well though...they almost got him at 2!

Have fun at the HRD and cheer loudly for Doz and Morny!

Not embellishing when Berrios (ace), Stewart (ace), Meyer (No. 2) and Gibson (No. 2-3) are all filthy. The ceiling is high for our farm. Just need to cash in on at least half of them.

Only so many rotation spots! You can list all of the good arms we have including Thorpe and Gonsalves. Keep in mind we'd likely still have a veteran arm of some type. Point was: we're loaded.

I know lol 6 years from now we will be talking about how these were the dark days and how LST thought Pelfrey was a good signing :)
