Vikings starting 4 rookies today. Hunter who is a few days from turning 21 just made the KC line look bad getting to Alex Smith to create a sack. Diggs looks like a star Kendricks all over the place. Clemmings just had a false start. Vikings have really been the far better team but they haven't put up points yet. They need a TD before half.

The OL is definitely what is holding the team back. Sullivan can't come back soon enough. Hopefully he's ready week 9.

Asiata looks much quicker in his cuts. Does anyone else think he looks quicker and maybe he slimmed down a little?

Vikings should have run away with this game but they started 4 rookies and KC was terrific against AP and they were able to get the win.

Teddy hasn't been good either and while a lot of that is on the lack of time due to the O-Line, a good chunk is Teddy just missing passes as well. His two picks today were bad. On the second one he had Diggs wide open on the other side of the field on a curl, but he stared down the out route and it got jumped. If he keeps his eyes in the middle of the field until he's ready to deliver the out route he might be able to spot Diggs or keep the corner on the go route and actually have an open wideout to hit. Instead he kept his eyes on the right side of the field where they had three covering two and the corner made a play because he knew he had help over the top if he was wrong.

The run blocking is atrocious though. Without a FB in the game, AP is taking the first hit 2-3 yards in the backfield almost every carry instead of at or beyond the line. Turner just needs to modify the playbook a little bit. I saw we ran a little pistol today which is a good start. Now he just needs to bring in an extra blocker in the backfield a little more to get AP some cleaner looks because he's getting good yards everytime he has a relatively clean hole to hit. Right now the line is just getting dominated so we can't rely on them to make the holes for AP to run through on their own.

Yeah I was more talking about the run blocking. Couldn't agree more about what you said regarding that. The pass blocking has been hit and miss. Too many blown blocks though.
