I miss almost everything. Lol

All I know is JD Speilman is going to TCU. I don't really get why there although Jerry Kill is there and the Big 12 chucks the ball around and...TCU has 2 first round picks last year. Maybe it's this simple...do you know the last time Nebraska had a 1st round pick?

I don't think playing for Jerry Kill would be on my list of things I would want to do. Is JD Speilman NFL material? I don't know. I wouldn't say he is better than Tyler Johnson.

I wonder how having Rick as your father would change the approach of talking to teams.

I'm biased but I think JD is NFL Material but more of a mid round guy. I think he is a guy that's best as a slot/move him all around even put him in the back field type but I also think he is actually a good receiver not just a get it in his hands type. It seems like the Consensus is that if you have a family member in pro sports...it's seen as a positive which does make sense. I know a few years ago there was a bit of a study on how successful players In that situation were compared to others. I don't remember the outcome and it's been long ago enough now that I'd want to see it updated anyway. Nebraska isn't exactly WR U...they were a running team for a long time but they have had some success with WRs sticking on rosters and overachieving to some extent. It's too bad Quincy Enunwa can't stay healthy for the Jets. I'll be interested to see if Stanley Morgan Jr. can stick with the Bengals under former Husker Zac Taylor.

That is kind of what I think is odd. PJ was a WR and has developed some good WR here and in Central Michigan. I would think that would trump playing for country bumpkin Kill. He would have to play in the shadow of Bateman though.

Looking at TCU depth chart and JD is not even listed (updated 7/5/2020)

One article I read said supposedly MN didn't really pursue him which seems kinda weird if true. Playing in the shadow of someone isn't bad...if there is plenty to go around which I would think there was. Anywho I'm hoping for good things for JD.

I could see them not going after him. PJ seems want guys that will be around for more than a year. I wouldn't think it would sit well with a young recruit that came here thinking he would gun for Tyler Johnsons spot this year like Bateman did his true freshman year.

That's a fair point. PJ seems to know WRs.

Zimmer is getting his extension. I'm so shocked! Jk this is probably the first of a few extensions getting done including Rick and Dalvin.

Good for Zimmer. I would be okay for another year, after this, but wouldn't be excited to sign him longer term. This year will be telling with the turnover.
