Diggs hinting at wanting out

Have to be honest that the way he's acting is real disappointing considering he just got paid last year and he's been fumbling and committing stupid penalties on the field. No call, no show, no media is not a good look.

I seem to remember him dropping a few passes as well. He needs to worry about his own game, be part of the solution instead of the problem.

Trade him then for a youngish all-pro interior lineman.

Is there any actual word he wants a trade? I haven't seen anything it seems like pure speculation to me. He could have missed practice for a bunch of reasons like a family illness or something.

EDIT:

Diggs is back at practice and said some things. I'll let people read or watch them and decide what they think it means.

To me if he does want out...what's the worst case scenario? Get a pretty good/decent draft pick for him and have some cap space to sign other players? Oh no...I can live with that worst case scenario. It's not like I believe this team is going places that a Diggs trade details things either this year or long term. It does seem like since my post there is something up more than I had seen before.

Diggs and Waynes for Jalen Ramsey. :)

It's real hard to trade him in season given that would just decimate our receiving core and kill any playoff hopes this year. We'd have Thielen and then nobody. I'd definitely look into it this summer though as we need cap space and don't need divas who just got paid causing issues on and off the field.

Much of the best talent on this team is at, or just past its peak. They went all-in on Cousins hoping he'd be the answer at the most important position, and they were wrong. IMO this team with Cousins is an 8-8 team, it'll beat bad teams and lose to good teams. That being my opinion I'm not at all against blowing it up and trading every player of value that is over the age of 25 and using those assets to build the next generation of Vikings failures!

It does seem a bit odd that they recently paid Cousins, Thielen, Rudolph and Diggs...

... only to change into a run-oriented team in a wide-open NFL designed with many advantages for wide-open offenses that throw the ball.

I still think they can go 12-4. They lost both road games to the Pack and Bears, both of which were winnable as well. Win those at home, beat Detroit twice and just hang on.

Yeah, this week will help decide that.

3 - 2... and everything is set up for a solid season. It should quell some of the discord.
2 - 3... and a loss to the Giants... and things could spiral and get ugly.
