Re: Wolves PG Position

Something is fundamentally wrong with the roster construction of a team where your two main point guards make $17M between them and your two main PFs make $60M. That is just effed up. Now we can go into all the reasons how we arrived at this place, but to me it's not a sustainable path to continue ...

Re: Around the league offseason

Valaciunas decided he wants to go overseas. I wonder where that leaves Saric, if the trade still happens. Denver would probably be happy for it to still go through if the salary was eliminated. Saric didn't fit there for whatever reason so just dumping him woukd have been great. Jonas would have be...

Re: Wolves PG Position

And further to your point, Q, I think a PG who can create on his own like Rob appears to be able to do could really unlock the guys on the court with him. Mike doesn't break down the defense and feed his teammates for easy looks, but Rob oculd very well be the kind of PG who does just that. Let's ho...

Re: Wolves PG Position

I'm in the club that thinks Rob needs to play significant minutes this season and that picking up a PG in free agency is not a huge need. And I would love it if he showed our coaches enough in summer league, practice, and preseason to take the starting job away from Mike. But I'm skeptical that wil...

Re: Thibs Out in NY

To me it wasn't surprising what Finch said. It seemed like a bit of a tough year adding everyone in together and they had some injuries that kinda held them back at times. I'm sure guys like Conley and Donte struggling early on was not easy on them. It was interesting that he said it out loud. I th...

Re: Thibs Out in NY

It's Mike Brown! Seemed likely since they had him in for a second interview. Great for us to be able to keep Nori. I think it was in his exit interview or after we lost to OKC that Finch said that this past year was not fun at times. That's not a great sign. I think keeping Nori and, honestly, Joe ...

Re: To Two Free Agent PG Targets?

Jmac and Brogdon If Jmac is willing to ride the pine, he has proven that he is a competent backup and knows the system. Would be a pretty seamless fit if something were to happen to Rob or Mike. Brogdon is probably the best player on the list. How many games would the Wolves get out of him? Bubble ...

Re: Around the league offseason

I agree with the opinion here that Denver has had a good offseason, but I still have the Wolves better than them (not so sure about Houston though). Cam Johnson and Michael Porter Jr. are quite similar statistically, although Porter is taller and a much better rebounder. And I've never been a big Ha...
