Re: Jonathan Kuminga
I just finished listening to the Locked on Wolves pod with the Locked on Warriors guy about JK. It made me feel a lot better about the acquisition, which I already was positive about. It sounds to me like JK's issues in GS were a combination of three things: 1) Being behind other forwards (Dray, Wig...

Re: Cody Williams
Okay, I admit my day has started out rather slow after too many beers at the 3+ hour Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis and friends concert at the fair last night. So I took advantage of my brain fog to read all 80 pages of the Cody Williams thread on the Jazz forum. Obviously the opinions are mixed...some see h...

Re: Josh Green officially traded
Cody Williams has been one of the worst NBA players in his career. He had a good Anthony Randolph stretch where he averaged 16/4/4.5 in his last 20 games. But followed it up with a really bad 3rd year summer league. With all that said I have no issue with taking a swing on a player especially when ...

Re: Josh Green officially traded
I also knew nothing about Cody until this morning, but now I'm intrigued. First, his pedigree is good, being the brother of JDub. Second, he was a consensus 5-star recruit out of high school and the 10th pick in the draft just 2 years ago. Finally, Monster was correct about him finishing strong las...

Re: Kuminga is officially a wolf
That 98th percentile number can't be right FNG. He wasn't even in the top 20 in terms of defensive rebound % among NBA players and even Naz was better (Naz isn't among the top 20 in D-Reb% either), whereas 98th% implies like a top 5 or 6 rebounder. Also, last season was an exception for Kuminga on ...

Re: Jonathan Kuminga
Two things about JK that I don't think have been mentioned here: 1) His first cousin is Emmanuel Mudiay. You may remember he was much discussed here as a potential draft pick for us. Denver took him with the 7th pick. 2) He is now the 3rd T-Wolf on the roster whose first language is French. His Engl...

Re: Jonathan Kuminga
If you are interested in all the upcoming possible teams like the Wolves looking to save money to make signings which could include waive and stretch of various players this article is an interesting read. Also apparently Hezonjia may not be coming to the NBA after all. He had a non-guaranteed deal...

Re: Kuminga is officially a wolf
By any means? I hope not. Waiving and stretching Green while signing Kuminga will put us $7.6 under the 2nd apron. We can sign two players to one-year vet minimum deals to fill out the roster. If Kuminga moves on after this season we’d be $13.7M under this season’s 2nd apron assuming Donte signs a ...
