I think Carlisle is spot on with respect to roster construction in today's NBA. I think it is becoming harder and harder to win with multiple max players as you need to spread the cap deeper through the roster (unless you are a destination team where veterans go to graze looking for a championship)....

Ryan Kalkbrenner would be a perfect backup center for the Wolves. Would be an awesome pick at 32, not sure he will be there. I would consider him at 15. 35 points, 12 rebounds, 2 threes, 3 steals and 2 blocks tonight. Older guy, ready to contribute. Not as big, but more skilled than Edey.

I am happy with this trade. May not improve the team this year, but removing the contract is huge. Randle is not much of a downgrade and Divencenzo will be an awesome sixth man. Agree he was worth more in the past, but that is not the now.
