Buxton has now had a 2-strike count 11 times this season, and he has struck out 10 of those times. Including last year, he is batting .123 when behind in the count. In contrast, he is hitting .375 when ahead. Every major league player is a better hitter when ahead in the count, but Buxton is an extreme example...far beyond the league average. He needs to learn how to get ahead...it's as simple as that. I'm optimistic and think he will figure it out, but he's tough to watch now.
