Has been an interesting, if boring, offseason. Lost Gooch and Cullen, both inconsistent but great when they're on. It will be interesting to see if any of the youth can step up for them this year, they'll need to if the team is going to be more than simply playoff fodder.

My favorite player was always PMB. I'm really going to miss watching him dance with the puck. With the moves Fletcher made this offseason, he has put himself squarely on the hot seat. When you give up fan favorites and then bring in Matt Cooke, you had better be at least as good as the previous year. I have my doubts.

Fletcher shouldn't be on any hot seat until after the 2014 season given the players he's signed and drafted. The big issue with PMB and Cullen being gone is due to the salary cap being lower based upon last season shorter revenues. The Wild will be in great shape going into the 2014 season cap wise and talent wise.

PMB is a good dude, who ran into a string of bad luck with those concussions. Pro sports are what they are. If your out of sight, your out of mind. He did some good things for the Wild organization over the years, it's just too bad he wasn't more dependable in the lineup. Butch and Clutter will be good together in New York. Thanks for the memories!
