You might change your tune when a rookie RB whiffs on pass protection.
Regardless this was an ugly game except the Vikings defense had lots of good moments.
Also my guy Mike Boone was the RB that flashed in the battle for 3rd spot.
Those were probably the two best defenses in the NFL by a decent margin. It's not surprising that the offense struggled, especially given the line isn't great even at full strength, which it's not even remotely close too. Add to that the fact that you have an entirely new offense being learned by the full offense and it'd be crazy to expect great play on offense until we're well into the regular season... if ever.

I agree. Plus it's worth mentioning the Jags kept their 1st team guys in for a number of possessions when the Vikings were playing mostly 2nd string guys and the guys that did stay in hopefully are backups when the starters are healthy. Murray's Fumbles really put a damper on things though and there were some very nice holes for him to run through.
What really put a damper is these damn personal foul penalties for a common everyday tackle. What the hell is going on with that? That sack toward the end of the game...... not to mention ones that went against jax and around the league. Nfl is turning into a joke.
I am waiting for Jaleel Johnson to breakout. Looks like he is going to be primary backup inside this year. I will be curious how much playing time he gets behind Richardson and Joseph.

There have been positive reports coming out of camp and the Jags game there was some buzz about him being pretty disruptive and it might have been a bit of a breakout game for him.

Basically all his money was guaranteed for this year when he did the restructure. Murray is a lock to be on the roster.
I agree he is a lock. I also know he is very dependable in pass blocking. I always felt he might be a guy that might be able to play a little FB/TE/HB if needed.
It's probably tough to do after a 2 fumble game, but I would add him to the list of trade candidates with Waynes to try to get O-line help. Pass blocking from a backup RB just isn't enough to keep him around IMO. It's nice to have, but if you are relying on your RB heavily for his pass blocking you are in trouble anyway.
