WF21 - I agree that is the difference. They really liked the guy. It will be interesting how the rest of the draft plays out.

Hughes looks more like a guy who can come in and get on the field in different spots than necessarily a true impact corner. Inside/Outside, tackling and return man. I'm not a fan of the pick, but it sounds like at worst he's a guy who can fill it at multiple spots this year to cover for injuries. This is also the last straw for me for early corners in the draft if it fails. Waynes has been good, but not great. Alexander looks like a bust. Hopefully this hits.

Agreed. We are supposed to have a DB guru for a headcoach. Why do we need to use so many early picks on DB's when he should be able to coach up some later picks?

That's a great question. The Viking update guy brings this up from time to time this as well.

Bleed who are some players you would be happy to come away with tonight? I'm probably most curious about the olineman you would have your eye on.

Brian O'Neil seems like a really athletic Tackle prospect. Will he be any good? Idk. The idea that has been kicked around is find the best athlete you can at tackle and make him good. Well...that seems like ONeil.

I was at Butcher and Boar last night so I missed most of the draft.

Hughes and O'Neill were not my guys. I actually would love to get Tyrell Crosby, Skyler Phillips, or Wyatt Teller on day 3 and feel they are better than O'Neill. As for Hughes. If you want a semi risky character CB. Why not take the more talented Holton Hill? Not that I am a fan of him either.

Also Mo Hurst is starting to be worth the risk. His medical must be bad.

That's a wrap for the Vikes' draft!

I know very little about the draftees. Our last pick, Devante Downs, looks like a sleeper pick due to a mid-season injury...
