Yeah I'm not completely surprised he got signed by another team but a little surprised another team scooped him up and paid him a decent chunk as Sporttrac has him at 2 million but maybe that includes incentives etc. He had that nice stretch the first season he got here (2014) and he seemed to play well on ST last year. Getting a WR that can play ST that is pretty physically gifted is nice and unless I am missing something the Panthers aren't exactly overflowing with awesome WRs so for them getting an underachieving vet guy that's shown something isn't the worst idea. They may think he will work better with a guy like Cam than the Vikings QBs which....could make some sense. Injuries have been part of the problem for him as well.
QB - Evans - Sounds interesting and worth picking late.
RB - Kamara - No thanks. 7 fumbles in 2 years in limited carries.
RB - Perine - I like him and a ground and pound back - 3rd rounded?
RB - Mixon - Will he be there in round 2?
RB - Hunt - I wouldn't take him before 5th round.
OT/OG - Forrest Lamp - I would love to get him. I heard an interview asking an Alabama player the toughest guy he had to go against all year and he quickly responded with Lamp.
Si Mock draft 1st-3rd

Vikings
48. PAT ELFLEIN G/C, OHIO STATE - Love this guy
79. JUSTIN EVANS S, TEXAS A&M - Interesting pick huge upside
86 DALVIN TOMLINSON DT, ALABAMA - Good depth pick
They show a run on RB's in round 3. Is there a later round sleeper out there?
Notable:
Mixon-RB goes to Jags at 35
Feeney-G goes to Pack at 61
Karma-RB goes to Browns at 65
Pocic-C goes to Rams at 69
PERINE-RB goes to Lions at 85
Went through a draft simulator. I would be super pumped if the Vikings could come aways with this group.

48: R2P16 DL CALEB BRANTLEY FLORIDA- Dropped to us in 2nd. Should start day one.
79: R3P15 RB JOE MIXON OKLAHOMA - Glad he was still there in 3rd.
86: R3P22 TE GERALD EVERETT SOUTH ALABAMA - Other needs on the board but getting one of the top TE's was to hard to pass up.
120: R4P13 OT JULIE'N DAVENPORT BUCKNELL - Paul Allen has been talking him up and could see us taking him. Good project OT.
128: R4P21 C ETHAN POCIC LSU - Suprised he fell this far. Tall center who played LT and RT in college. Could be day one starter or turn into guy that can backup every spot alone the OL.
160: R5P16 S JOHN JOHNSON BOSTON COLLEGE - After 4 start offensive picks I went back to defense and got a safety that can cover slot.
199: R6P15 LB JALEN REEVES-MAYBIN TENNESSEE - Productive, but a little under sized.
232: R7P14 EDGE/DT KEIONTA DAVIS CHATTANOOGA - Productive, but a little undersized. Was on some sleep boards. Played well against big schools.
To be honest I have a hard time paying much atttention to the mock drafts without a 1st round pick and their 2nd is in the middle of the round. That's just me and there are so many prospects to pour over. I might look into the RBs before the draft or a couple other positions but I'll probably mostly just be a homer about whoever they pick. Lol
Monster - I am with you, but someone mentioned that website about doing your own mock draft and I had to give it a try. I will be curious how my draft looks. I honestly don't think the picks I made will likely be available when I drafted.
I was listening to a Vikings podcast last month and they said the mock drafts are fun to look at and there are some picks you can probably feel confident on but in general the expert mock drafts tend to give you a decent idea of a range of where guys may go and so when your team might be able to pick them...if they want to pick them. I thought that was put pretty well. I do think there is a lot of true to teams having their draft board of guys they want and they don't worry too much about what other teams are going to do and if they like a guy they just pick them. Football is such a system and team game with specialization sit really makes sense certain teams will value guys differently maybe somewhat widely.
I like mine better, but they used the Bleacher Report vs I used CBS. Players available are much different.
I think you are right in teams make a list of players you want and pick them for the most part. When I look at some of these guys I have no idea why they would even be picked or are rated where they are. The NFL draft is so interesting to me because every pick can count.
