Yeah that's what I think also. I ordered a bunch of various magazines which my wife thought I was crazy but a few have been pretty good and when I am done with them I donate them to the thrift store.
Not a bad idea on that too, I wouldn't have even thought to donate old magazines.

At a previous job I actually got some magazines in this fashion just so we had some current things for people to look at in our reception area. Sometimes various organizations want magazine subscriptions for their libraries etc. Some places want them for various art projects for for clients to have something to do.
Interesting looking back on UFA from last year. Aviante Collins ran a 4.8 40 last year. Him and Brian O'Neill would be some of the fastest OL in the league.
I really like Jake Wieneke. He seems like Theilen 2.0.
Hercules has some impressive highlights. There was a couple of them where he was double teamed and beat it once time coming around for a sack which...it did take a while for him to get there coverage must have been good. Every couple years there is a smaller guy that you can compare to John Randle but this guy sounds as much like him as anybody.
From what I have read Wieneke is a different type of receiver than Thielen. He is more of a big than fast receiver. His value is more as a red zone threat. Regardless he seems like a nice prospect to have in camp regardless of the local angle but that obviously makes it an even better story.
It seems like a pretty good class of players they brought in. Hopefully a couple of these guys turn out to be useful players. This team has done a pretty good job overall finding some guys from the undrafted ranks and 6-7 round picks or adding guys that were those types by other teams.
Agreed on Weineke. I hope he becomes what we thought LT was going to be. That would be a great story. There is that other MN kid from CFL Brandon Zylstra.
Hercules is interesting. I don't think he makes it at LB, but don't know enough about him. I feel like the Vikings have been looking for the next John Randle for years. That high motor guy they need to add weight too. Dylan Bradley was the guy last year. It will be interesting to see if he makes the team this year or is on the PS again.
To me unless you love a guy UFA are basically the same talent as 6/7th rounders. Those picks are valued appropriately.
If you could pick a UFA to make the team who would you pick?
Holton Hill for me. He has so much upside and that would mean he might have figured out how to behave. We have a roster that should keep him out of trouble.

People have understandably given up on Treadwell but I don't think he is as much of a lost cause as it may seem on the surface. It sounds like his rookie year was a bit better than a medical redshirt year as he was not completely healthy. I saw one comment from a fan recently that said he is a guy that didn't work hard because he was a first round pick. They have no idea what they are talking about. The reports are that he works too hard. If people want to compare him to the UDFA guys that are hard workers etc sure that's fine and yeah if one of those guys beats him out then yes they should let him go and cut their loses but it's not cause the guy works hard. The Vikings every year bring in some big athletic guys that are basically lottery tickets. They nailed a pick in Diggs and got fortunate in Thielen and even Wright was a solid pick. Treadwell turns 23 next month. He is an expensive young player but I don't think he should be written off quite yet. I don't have a problem of people do I'm just saying what I think. Cousins has a rep of spreading the ball around. It did seem like Keenum would just Fire the ball to the top guys...which to be fair wasn't a terrible strategy because they are very good.
I agree with you on LT. I think he might be a guy that doesn't click with this coaching staff. He likely will do better with a change of teams. The team I think he would do great with might be Cardinals. He would have a veteran WR to learn from.

He must have done something right to get on the field as much as he did (nearly 45% of snaps). I get it he is a 1st round pick and people want those guys to succeed but...I don't think this coaching staff is as much of a we picked this guy we gotta play them as some staffs. He also played some snaps on special teams which is something neither Wright or Floyd did. I'm not sure if Wright has ever played on special teams. OK just looked it up on pro football reference. In 2013 he had 7 ST snaps and one of those was a 9 yard KR. Treadwell played special teams even his rookie season.
As for what UDFA makes the roster Holton Hill is kinda the easy pick. There is a spot for another CB and plenty has been written about his talent etc. in a way it's so obvious it makes me think he doesn't make it. Lol
Interestingly only 1 undrafted offensive lineman that I can see.
