Well I think this draft is really important for the twins to find there future lead off man and SS I think this could be him his name is Trea Turner and I'm very high on the Twins taking him this year.
Over 56 games as a sophomore, he hit .368/.455/.553 with 30 stolen bases and drew 38 walks to just 30 strikeouts. He also hit seven home runs, showing developing power. As a freshman, he led the nation in stolen bases with 57 and was only thrown out four times.

Re: 2014 mlb Draft
I love the way the Twins have drafted in recent years, and I have confidence they will get the right guy. Plus this draft is loaded, especially with pitchers and shortstops. Generally, I think you go with BPA in a baseball draft, unlike football and basketball, and it could be our selection will be a pitcher.
My first choice, if he falls to us, is Tyler Kolec, the big Texas HS pitcher who throws in the 100s. He's not a lock to go before we pick, so he may be our guy.
I like Turner's speed and defense, and if our scouts think he will hit enough he would be a great choice at 5. Right now my sense is that he may not have enough bat to be a leadoff guy.

Position players > Pitchers
I want the best available position player unless the pitcher is far and away the better value. I'd like to find a franchise 3B/SS/1B at some point (included 3B because Sano's defense isn't a sure thing yet, Mauer's value at 1B isn't ideal either).
If you're scratching your head as to why I like position players over pitchers, well, to make it simple. I'll take the guy that plays every day over a guy that plays every fifth day.

It's so tough with baseball for a fan to follow the draft (and hockey as well). You just have to trust Terry Ryan. And what better guy to trust?
